Great place to stay

Great guesthouse with helpful staff. Small Onsen was great but water very hot. Cold water and hot water and tea and coffee provided. Close to a bus stop. Lovely spot to stay. Can walk to Hakone Open Air Museum-16 minutes on a track.I had the double room - used the 2 futons so it was very comfortable on the tatami mat.

Foo was an amazing host, I had a great time each night I was there. The atmosphere was very welcoming and cozy, the onsen onsite was very relaxing after a long day of walking.

We had a private room with a great view and a comfortable mattress. However, we expected the shared bathroom to be cleaner. Also, the stairs to the private room were not standard, and I had trouble carrying the luggage.

Wonderful staff! They have a nice dog. Made some wonderful friends at this place. It was an amazing experience considering the price. Shared dorm was quiet and just enough for anyone on a budget. Highly recommend unless you need a lot more space for your stuff.

There were cockroaches in bathroom. Only suitable for visitor with cars. Only have 2 convenient shops in the vicinity. Train track just next to the premises and noise from train. Cleanliness in room was fine. Staff was nice. Very attractive and competitive price.

Hostel Rating Appears Inflated

The hostel is in a beautiful part of Japan. The operator of the hostel is wonderful and a fun host with an awesome dog. However, no one is putting effort into keeping the hotel place clean. The bathroom has the stench of urine because of wood floors and walls and the shower has mold. If I had half an hour, bleach, a brush and trash bags the place would be in much cleaner. Deferred maintenance is an issue, but the bigger issue is cleanliness. I wish I didn’t have to write this review, but the condition of the hotel affected my vacation experience.

The mat of the tatami is very dirty. Although the quilt cover is clean, the quilt is very dirty. There is a lot of dust in the room. It's very uncomfortable to live in it.

Nous avons adorés séjournes à la guesthouse ! Elle est au calme, au milieu des montagnes et en même temps très proche de toutes les commodité sa pieds (station de bus, 7/11,…).
