"We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the room looked just like in the pictures and we received a very warm welcome by Tommy, the hotel manager.
The location of the hotel is great for exploring the Old Quarter of Hanoi, it’s close to a bus stop to/from the airport and you can reach destinations like the Water Puppet Theater and Hoan Kiem lake by foot."
"This hotel was great! The staff are SO friendly and helpful. They made the stay just wonderful. The breakfast had lots of options and the beds were very comfortable! Would totally stay here again. "
"In a good position, very busy area, plenty of places to eat.
The room was a little small for 3 adults, only there for 4 nights so made the best of it. Breakfast could have been a little better as well.
But all in all really enjoyed it"
"This property is clean and comfortable but the best thing is the staff, they are the most kind and helpful hotel staff, they helped me order cabs, suggested activities and restaurants and were all round a pleasure to talk to. I will definitely be staying here again. "
"Property was well located and very accommodating to our needs. A lil bit dated but very clean and comfortable and a very affordable price for myself and my kids & grandson. Would certainly recommend and will stay there again when in Hanoi. "
"The owner was very friendly. It reminded of Midwest hospitality and the rooms were basic but clean! I really appreciated how the owner was always asking if anything was needed etc. Felt very welcoming and the location was especially for tours."

"Amazing service, friendly people, great coffee and a very comfy bed... highly recommend "
"I had a wonderful stay at May de Ville Hotel in Hanoi and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and provided excellent recommendations for exploring the city, from hidden gems to the best local dining spots. Their knowledge and willingness to help added so much value to my trip.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering a relaxing space to return to after a busy day in Hanoi. The service throughout my stay was consistently thoughtful and professional, creating an atmosphere of care and attention that made all the difference.
If you are visiting Hanoi, I would strongly encourage staying at May de Ville Hotell, you will be well taken care of. A truly memorable experience!"
"We only stayed for one night (before our flight home from Hanoi), but we wish we’d have had more time in this beautiful hotel. The lobby area is vibrant and the rooms are stylish. What stood out to me - after staying in various different South-east Asian hotels over the last 3 weeks - was the powerful, adjustable shower head, the quality shower products, the powerful hairdryer with different settings, and the comfort of the bed and pillows. These things really make a difference!
Aside from the place itself and its amenities, one member of staff, in particular, stood out for her warm, welcoming, genuine nature: Susan. What an asset to the Solaria team! She was exactly the sort of person we wanted to be greeted by, after a long day of travelling, and was so helpful. "
"The washroom was a-bit smelly.. they need to fix the exhaust system
The breakfast buffet was ok but not too many choices.
The location was great.
The staff was good..
Overall I would say it was a good experience.."
"Everything about this hotel works perfectly. The location, rooms, staff and food are exactly right. The manager, Alex, is happy to "go the extra mile" to make sure that you have what you need and that you're well looked after. His team is friendly, helpful and all seem to be very happy. This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel, and it won't be my last. Location-wise, you are in easy reach of Hoan Kiem lake, good eating places and, if you're feeling brave, the train street.
I just need to say and extra 'thank you' to Alex. I don't think the word 'no' is in his vocabulary and this attitude just takes the stress out of business travel in Hanoi. When a promised delivery failed to arrive, it was Alex who go on the phone to DHL to find out what was happening and then made sure that when it did eventually appear it was sent on to my next hotel in HCMC. Exceptional service.
Sure, you can stay in grander hotels in Hanoi, but you can't get much better!"
