"Excellent location and loved our second stay on the boat…..note may want to replace the coffee machine as it leaks when you use it but what a fantastic place to stay and would thoroughly recommend it….."

"It is a narrow boat (Peniche) on the river. Access is with limited space, not good if you have large suitcases. It is self-check in and departure. "

"Wer das Flair eines rustikalen Hausbootes zu schätzen weiß ist hier genau richtig. Wir waren für zwei Tage anlässlich des Geburtstages meines Sohnes hier um Straßburg zu besuchen. Das Schiff ist wunderbar gelegen an einem kleinen Kanal, man kann hier die Ruhe genießen, früh morgens zwitschern die Vögel und der Kuckuck ruft. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit direkt vor dem Boot eine Fahrradtour zu machen, zu joggen oder einfach spazieren zu gehen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten liegen mit dem Auto 5 Minuten...

"Wir, 12 ehemalige Studienkollegen/innen, alle Ü60, haben auf der Poseidon und Umgebung drei wundervolle Tage verbracht. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut und die Besitzer freundlich, hilfsbereit und entgegenkommend. "

(I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. "We had a perfect stay on the big orange houseboat from Gill. The boat have all necessary things on it and it's very beautiful. Unfortunately we booked only one night. The next stay will be longer."
