"On nous a "annulé" le séjour via whatsapp 2 jours avant le départ sans annulation officielle de la part de hôtel.com. et donc sans preuve de remboursement. L'hébergement étant injoignable. On a du réserver et donc payer un autre hébergement en dernière minute qui nous a coûté beaucoup plus cher. Suite à des longues discussions avec Hôtel.com on nous a accordé un remboursement une fois le séjour passé. J'ai même cru à une arnaque ... A FUIR !!! "

"Apartment looks better in the photos than it did in person. That being said, the bedrooms were nice and big and overall, the apartment was clean. With all the added booking fees I paid, I don’t think it was worth the money and I could have gotten a nicer apartment for the amount I paid. Apartment is in old town and while it’s not an awful neighborhood, it’s not the nicest either. I felt mostly safe walking around with my kids there as there are still lots of tourists around but again, with all...

Cheese & Wine Suites

8/10 Good

"Great location , all staff were excellent , breakfast excellent, rooms are quirky so impressive , but they are tired , It’s an old building and they have made the best of what they have , our particular room was ok except the toilet it was a really skinny room off of the bedroom area and even with the French doors shut you could hear everything so no privacy in that respect , that’s my only gripe , the beds were comfy , shower pressure great , no coffee in room but tea leaves and water and a little piece of cake each every night , which was a lovely touch , also get some cheese and wine complimentary , all in all was a great place to stay 😊"

Villa Dorothea

10/10 Excellent

"Wow, where to begin about Villa Dorothea. The property is absolutely stunning and the photos do not give it justice! Check in was smooth and our room was available early which was amazing. The welcome drinks and little check in waiting area is a great touch. The staff were incredible friendly and helped carry our luggage up to our room without asking. The suite we booked was stunning, with a separate living room, bedroom and a bonus dressing room with a view of the ocean. The room was very clean and new, the hotel provided 2 bottles of water per day and turn down service. They also had a running routes map in the room for any runners which I thought was so great (as we are runners). Would definitely come back here and recommend to other travelers. Don’t miss out on this gem."

Palacio Ramalhete

8/10 Good

"We stayed on the top floor under the roof. The room had air conditioning, but unfortunately, the bathroom did not. The showerhead was also installed quite low, making it uncomfortable for my husband, who is 6’1”, to shower. One unique feature was the old-fashioned, heavy room key. Be sure not to lose it, as the hotel charges €300 for a replacement! Overall, these are a few things worth noting for future guests, and improving the bathroom comfort would make the stay more enjoyable."
