It’s a good thing I listened to my heart. It was the best decision ever to stay at Shibuya Excel Hotel. It’s very convenient to everything. Upon checking in, they upgraded our room to the 20th floor. The view overlooking the city was fantastic. It was the biggest room we had during our stay in Japan.

My husband and I have just completed 9 days at Tokyu Stay and absolutely loved it. The hotel was small , exceptionally clean and the staff were very gracious and professional. My husband left his iPhone in the taxi on arrival at the hotel and Julie ( and some of her colleagues) worked extremely hard to track it down and did so successfully, for which we were very grateful. Although the breakfast had limited choices it was ample. The fact that the hotel was situated very close to the Takanawa...

I’ve stayed here a few times and always felt it comfortable. A small hiccup this time with the delivery of my baggage… it had t arrived when I checked in so the lady on reception said she’d ring my room when it arrived. By 8pm there was still no notification that my bag had arrived so I contacted the company y to be told it had been delivered two hours prior. I went to go down to reception to find a note on my door saying the bag had arrived. I had been in my room the whole time and didn’t...

I enjoyed in this hotel. Great location to Haneda Airport and hub for getting around Tokyo. Breakfast is healthy and has a nice variety for everyone. Reception staff were all very friendly and approachable. My room was small,.but it is everything I needed.

We had a lovely 2-night stay here in one of the moderate queen rooms. It was sweet and everything we needed. Also the location near the Kokuritsu-kogijo station was perfect for us. Really near Shinjuku so just awesome, we totally could have stayed longer. Staff were friendly and we were able to store our bags after we checked out. Would totally go back.

Good location close to tamachi station which is on the line for Shibuya and other major areas. Quality of rooms was great and well appointed. Coffee free at main foyer and all the required items you might need if you forgot anything.

I can not imagine a better place to stay in Tokyo.
Everything was 5 star.
The panoramic views over the harbour were stunning
Staff service amazing particularly the concierge
Very well priced.
Restaurants were a little expensive but huge choices within walking distance
Will always go back there

We enjoyed the Dormy Inn because it provided the additional services and amenities that made our stay more comfortable. Optional breakfast, free noodles in the evening, spa bath, sauna, and cold plunge, optional lounge, free space to sit and work during the day, ice machine and manga library.

Very good experience overall
Some things to consider:
1) Guests do have to swap lifts to access rooms from the main one in group that takes you to reception only. This can be inconvenient sometimes as that couple minutes wait makes a difference when having to catch a train or got big luggages.
2) You still have to pay for extras such as a cafe latte even when you have already paid for a breakfast voucher which felt a little money gauging and greedy on the hotel being that other hotels at...
