Top Eastern Sierra Hotel Reviews

Vagabond Inn Bishop

Vagabond Inn Bishop

8/10 Good
"I have stayed at the Vagabond for 55 yrs. Many improvements over the years and they are open to suggestions. I am 5'3" and too short to reach the air conditioner and there was no remote. Office staff was quick to come and adjust it for me. There was NO in house phone so I had to walk to the office, only 1 skimpy bar of soap, no lamp at the desk which made office work challenging. Since I had hip surgery, I opted not to use the shower/tub as there was NO grab bar and the floors were slippery. Would I stay there again YOU BET I WOULD ♥"

The Ranch at Death Valley – Inside the Park

The Ranch at Death Valley – Inside the Park

10/10 Excellent
"This is my favorite park by far. I've always camped when staying in the park and figured I'd give the cottages a try. I doubt I'll be camping again in Death Valley. They are VERY nice, roomy, convenient and will stay again. Plus the pool is incredible. Could use a little more shade but that's the only thing I can think of on the wish list."

"Counter person should ask if guest has any discount cards, i.e. AAA, AARP, that may apply to daily rate. I could have saved money if they had asked."

Austria Hof Lodge

Austria Hof Lodge

8/10 Good
"The room was clean with a pretty view. Overall I was so pleased. Some opportunities to improve - although it does call out that the condo is *offsite* it doesn’t clearly show how far offsite it is. It was disappointing to learn that we weren’t going to be within walking distance of the restaurant which was a big factor in why I had initially made a reservation there. I also booked the hotel anticipating soaking in the hot tub however all hot tubs on the property were under construction and that was never disclosed."

Mammoth Mountain Inn

Mammoth Mountain Inn

10/10 Excellent
"The person who first help us was able to get us a better room then what I ordered and get us into the room early instead of waiting until 4pm we got in around 11am so for me that was excellent service! The hotel does need some remodeling but other then that would stay again."

The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth

The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth

8/10 Good
"When we checked in, the room unfortunately wasn’t fully cleaned. There were expired items in the fridge, and our dog found nuts on the floor. Since the hotel was fully booked, we couldn’t move rooms. Staff did send someone to tidy up while we were at dinner, which we appreciated, but the expired items were still there when we returned. The location was perfect, though, and the staff was responsive. The room just needed a more thorough check before our arrival."
