Over all it was great . Nice and quiet everybody was friendly. My only issue was on the information provided it tell you place your dirty towels out on the hand rail outside of your cabin by 10am and you will get clean one by 4pm , we went two days with out their clean towels . We purchased some towels our self.

The cabins were in very good shape, they had all the items we needed. Also, housekeeping was quick to change towels. The property has absolutely beautiful scenery; our family fished and really enjoy the pontoon rental/lake experience. I would recommend Convict Lake to anyone.

First time here at mammoth. And I am very happy to have stayed here. Beautiful views of nature and close to the hikes. Also about 13 away from Mammoth lakes which is not bad. Staff is friendly and helpful

Really enjoyed staying at one of the cabins at Convict Lake Resort! The whole area is so peaceful, and the cabin itself was beautiful and well-designed on the inside, with all the amenities we needed. The heating worked especially well (it was chilly out). The trails all around the property were great for walking the dog and getting some fresh air before going skiing, and Mammoth Mountain is only 15-20 min away.

Lots of likes as others mentioned. But unfortunately Management, while managing maids tightly, let's maintenance guys run on loud tractors go wild. 6 nights, 6 mornings and afternoons on noisy tractors, mostly they don't even turn the engines off. Completely not needed. They floor them like ATV's. Drive full speed on dirt roads right in front of your cabin. Dust in gold that walk, dust everywhere. Pollution and noise. Maids all drive golf carts. Are nice and quiet. Not so the guys. Seems unfair. They just let their male staff do what they want. They are always booked out, so they don't care. Suggest you book somewhere else. Disappointing Management. Noticed it last time we were there too. Nothing changed. No respect.for their guests.

Convict Lake Resort

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Convict Lake Resort. The lake, just a 5-minute walk from the cabin, is stunning, and the cabin itself was well-thought-out, clean, charming, and perfectly fitting for the setting. While the resort's ambiance and accommodations were excellent, the communication and customer service during check-in left much to be desired. When things are running smoothly, communication is fine, but when issues arise, the staff's response seems less than helpful. For example, upon arrival, I was told by a staff member that check-in would be between 2:00 and 2:30. When I returned at that time, I was informed that the room was not ready due to cleaning delays. Rather than providing any proactive solutions or updates, the staff simply told me to "come back later" with no additional assistance or accommodation offered. I returned again at 3:00 only to receive the same response. When I asked if there was anything they could offer while I waited, they just stared at their phones and gave no real answers. While the cabin's cleanliness and the site's natural beauty are highlights, the lack of customer service during the check-in process is worth noting. A little more attentiveness and proactive communication from the staff would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience.

Reality exceeded our expectations. We had a late check-in, so we were sent instructions on how to access the house. After skiing, we stopped by our friends’ place and only then headed to check in. On the way, my husband and I were talking about how we just wanted to get there as quickly as possible and turn on the heater, because most likely everything would be turned off — just like in the house where our friends were staying. But I was pleasantly shocked when I walked inside and saw the temperature. It was 87°F. A special thank you for this — thanks to such small but thoughtful details as having the heating already on, you give your guests the chance to warm up right away. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Everything was in its place and easy to find. There was everything necessary for a comfortable stay — from toiletries and a hairdryer to an extra blanket, just in case. It’s clear that everything was well thought out to make guests feel satisfied and comfortable. The only comment we have concerns the Wi-Fi. It is quite weak, especially considering that there is no cellular service at all. My husband and I were completely satisfied with our stay. We decided that we will definitely come back when it’s warmer to see the beauty of the lakes in summer. P.S. The second video was recorded just before check-out. (By the way, we always clean up after ourselves to make the cleaners’ job easier — a small bonus of sorts.) Hugs from Ukraine 🇺🇦

I enjoy traveling and rarely return to the same place twice, however, this is one of our getaway locations. The tranquil area has a lot to do and the cozy cabins are so cool. Love everything about this place. Can’t wait to go back a third time.
