"For the very reasonable price that I paid, I wasn't expecting too much of Abbey Point Hotel but I was very pleasantly surprised. It's a real gem, with great facilities. My room was very clean. It had a small fridge, a microwave and a kettle with tea, coffee, milk and sugar. The bathroom was great, with a decent shower with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The room had a good TV, and even air conditioning. The bed was really comfortable, and both pillows were plump and not at all floppy.
The café/bar was great, serving a great selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Portion sizes were generous, too. I had lasagne and chips in the evening, and it was delicious. The breakfast options were varied, and also really nice! I opted for the special fry-up, which came with a choice of coffee or tea, and I was very happy indeed.
The staff were friendly and efficient. Check-in and check-out were very quick and simple.
There is a huge Asda superstore a short walk (10 - 15 mins) from the hotel. It is also very close to Central Middlesex Hospital.
Abbey Point is a gem, and I will definitely be very happy to stay again!
