"My two daughters and I stayed in order to attend the Festival of Whales. The location was perfect for our needs. The property however is in great need of updating. It is quite run down. The walls were marked and dirty, the carpet was torn, the towels and sheets were threadbare, tiles were missing in the bathroom, there was rust in the bathtub, there was a shelf missing in the bathroom leaving no where to place toiletries, and there was a cockroach on the floor in our room the day we checked out. The front desk staff member removed our parking fee for the trouble of the pest. I cannot recommend staying here."

"Room was clean and amenities were nice. Coffee maker in room always a plus. Breakfast was nicely done with a good combination of hot and cold. Make your own waffles was nice. Parking was tight and not free, unfortunately. Overall nice location and a good stay for 2 nights. "

"Casa de Bellena. It was a great base for us to explore Dana Point. The location is walking distance to cafes, exercise studios and scenic walks. Other attractions such as beaches, historical sites, and golf courses are a short drive. Bob is an accessible host. He immediately responded to all questions and concerns. The house is well appointed and we took advantage of the lovely outdoor patios and hot tub. We enjoyed our stay very much. "
