"I took my partner here for his birthday and to have a quiet retreat for a few nights. We absolutely loved the place and most of all, Craig and Paul. I can’t recommend more, a stay at Hillcrest especially if you want to stay somewhere beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. And of course you should book a dining experience with the guys. "We enjoyed our overnight stay at Christmas Creek Cafe & Cabins. The cabins were basic but clean, there was a small heater, enough to take the edge off the chill in the room and plenty of warm blankets provided. We made a small fire down by the creek and the kids loved playing in and around the creek. Was lovely to get away and disconnect from the everyday routine! "

"The person we dealt with (no idea if owner or manager) judging from the responses and other reviews seems to think the paying guests are non-paying guests who should be happy to just stay there. We didn't use the spa - it looked pretty yuk - a dirty concrete thing with water that you had to wade through mud and animal poo to get to. The picture of the lovely outdoor setting must have been accurate a while back but now one one drape remains of the four -and that is literally hanging by a thread...

"The Jardine tiny home did not disappoint. Everything you need is provided. The doe left for us to make bread was delicious with our bacon and egg. The fire pit in the evening listening to the cicada volume being turned up as the sun faded away.Only down side is the outdoor area is the thoroughfare for the other 2 houses. Luckily others were pleasant and didn’t bother us with excessive traffic. Will certainly return. Host provided all the info and instructions we needed to get in and settle down. Thanks Kelly!"
