"A great hotel, badly let down by the restaurant. Slow service, high prices, and staff that behave like they’d rather be somewhere else. The rest of the hotel stay was fantastic though. Wonderful room, a smooth check in, a very convenient coffee shop and a lovely little store just off the lobby. "

"The Kingston has all the things I love about travel. The building itself is really old. My room was a twin with a sink and a shower down the hall. It was clean, comfortable, and felt like a real place instead of a generic hotel room. It's owned by a local family and a lot of the staff is part of the family. It's the first place I've been where the overnight staff was super accommodating. If you need perfect linens, expensive soaps, and a high end bar, its not for you. If you want a quiet and comfortable space in the best location in Vancouver, it probably is."

"This hotel is decent. Our only complaint is that it is way too expensive. The amenities do not justify the price that we paid. There are no tissue boxes in the room, no coffee machine in the room, no lotion. It would be fine if you were paying $100 or $150 per night at most. We paid far more than that, unfortunately. I guess that’s just Vancouver."
