"Nice small hotel, walking distance to Vatican"
Small hotel very hard to find if you don't have a GPS. If you get to Termini station then you can either take a "drop on drop off" bus and get off at Vatican station what will cost you around 20euro per person for 24 hours or you can take metro, red line, northbound, and get off at Lepanto station what will cost you around 1.5 euro per person. Metro station is just under Termini station and it is much more faster then bus. We haven't tried taxi but I've been told that taxi cost around 15 euro to get to the hotel without traffic. If you want to walk from termini station then be prepared for around 1.5 hour walking what I definitely wouldn't recommend it with luggage's Hotel is nice and clean even bathroom what I'm very sensitive at. Our room was very small, I could barely open the bathroom door, but that wasn't a problem. Hotel has nice touches like free mini bar. The only think I didn't like was room door what isn't soundproofed. We could hear every movement and noise. Also hotel has no elevator so I wouldn't recommend this hotel for older people.

"We had a very pleasant stay in Hotel Oceania"
My family (3 adults + 1 teenager) stayed for 5 days at Hotel Oceania in Rome this August. We chose to book at this hotel based on reviews by others. We had a very pleasant stay in this quaint hotel. You are greeted by an enormous door and a charming old-fashioned lift which may not be to everyone’s liking (the hotel is on the 3rd floor) but we think it is part of the Italian holiday experience. The hotel staffs were genuinely very friendly, helpful and speak English. We stayed in an enormous family room which has most of the amenities such as a fridge, TV (but no English news/program though), hair dryer and a safe but no iron or ironing board. The room was clean and was surprisingly quiet. The air conditioning was able to cope with the sweltering summer heat. My only slight criticism of our room was the bathroom. It was a bit small compared to the size of the room and the shower was not in a cubicle but was more of a wet room. Nevertheless the bathroom was clean and we had fresh towels every day. The hotel served a very nice continental breakfast. The hotel is situated in a very safe area (we did not have any trepidation walking at night) even though it is only a 5 min walk from the Termini station and the Metro. It’s probably because the hotel is situated near a police and army headquarters. There are an assortment of Italian restaurant, trattorias and gelato bars to choose from nearby, and if you want something different then there is also an Irish pub, a Chinese restaurant

"Excellent Hotel, perfect location"
Lovely little hotel in the perfect location nestled between the coliseum & the roman forum. Lovely rooms (we had the superior suite) friendly & helpful staff. Thanks for making my boyfriends 30th all the more special. We didnt use the Metro once, simply walked everywhere, all over the city & it was lovely to come back to the area of the hotel & first sight being that of the Roman Forum! Can not recommend this hotel enough.
