“Great Budget Stay”
Stayed for a one nighter, perfect location in centre of Banff. Recommend taking the slightly more expensive rooms on higher level to avoid noisy young travellers who tend to stay in the cheaper rooms downstairs. We asked to be moved away from rowdy youngsters, and management moved us straight away without any issues. Would recommend this Hotel due to price and location. The room was basic but clean and adequate and we are fussy. No nasty surprises, a pleasant stay for a basic Hotel. Location perfect. Would recommend.
“Banff's best location.”
Perfectly situated, right in the heart of downtown. Can't ask for anything better with that price. Service was really good, with very courteous staffs. The only downside is; the rooms beside the main street (Banff Ave.) can be a bit noisy. There are two grocery stores a few mins walk away from the hotel. Very convenient with a McDonald a few steps away and a library close by with 30mins free internet service. Plus tons of stores along the street on both sides. For sure, can't ask for a better situated hotel at that price.
“Would stay here again”
This hotel was exactly what I needed: a clean, quiet, safe, inexpensive place to sleep in a good location. The owner is usually on-site, helpful and often at the front desk.
“Well worth the money”
This hotel is extremely well located within the village of Banff. We found the room to be perfect for our needs and found the underground parking ($5 a day) to be very useful.
“Banff choice”
Great location in the heart of Banff; luggage off-loading on side st; garage around corner(left car in garage), bus stop in front of hotel. Compact European type room; clean; coffee maker-requested additional coffee, provided; microwave & ice machine in corridor. Staff helpful with directions, brochures. Elevator access by key only. WiFi; would stay again; shops & eateries up & down street
“excellant value”
The location was great, the hotel is a clean skiers haven. Parking if you ask arround the corner, no meals, good WiFi, TV (didn't use), Smaller room size good bathroom. Excellant value. Would go back.
“Can't beat it for the price”
We got a great deal from Expedia, and for the price I don't think you could beat it. I was particularly impressed with the location, I thought for the price it wouldn't be very central but it was smack bang in the middle of the main part of Banff. As a result there was a little bit of street noise, particularly from party people, however this didn't really both us. The rating I give is in relation to the price, and we had a very pleasant stay. Add to that free wireless, hard to beat. And just pop up to the Banff Hot Springs for a hot tub. They also have a deal with the parking lot behind the building for a small nightly fee to store your car in a heated garage, which is pretty useful in Banff's cold winter.
“KingEdwardHotelBanffAB”
Well maintained. Basic hotel but very comfortable. Nice Micro-wave on same floor. Comfortable rooms. Good selection of TV channels. Mary at evening front desk is courteous. All other services--meals, shopping, in same block. Allowed to park on Moose Street to unload stuff, for up to 15 minutes. Free overnight parking on 3rd floor of municipal garage a block away.
“Great location”
Centrally located right in the middle of town with great access to shopping, dining, walking, etc. Room was fine, nothing to get too excited about but a good, comfortable room at a fair price. Friendly staff, the elevator with street view was fun. Conveniently located near public parking (which was free when we were there, but time-limited). Would stay there again.
“I would go back”
It was clean, well maintained and surprisingly quiet. It is so conveniently located in the centre of downtown Banff.
