"Put on your walking shoes! You need a car or else it's a 15 minute walk to the bus terminal at UBC. Very Spartan room with no conveniences which are shared but clean. Bring some breakfast food as the campus restaurants don't open until 8am. There are plenty of buses but you need an hour to get into the city. Early risers can use the 24 hour McDonald's on campus but an18 minute walk away. There are many great walking and biking paths in and around the city.ppp

"Great location, friendly staff. Please post the 1-800 on Expedia as no one answered the number for hotel that Expedia has listed. I had to do some searching to change my reservation with the hotel. "
"Joann is an absolutely lovely host, and serves a wonderful hot breakfast. The accommodations are reasonably priced, clean and the area is peaceful and quiet. I would recommend the House on Dunbar as an excellent option for a stay in Vancouver."
"The property and booking process was fantastic. My family and I needed a one night stay before our cruise left Vancouver. The property was clean and in a great neighborhood. Highest recommendation!"
Charming 3-bedroom villa with WiFi and AC in amazing Vancouver
8/10 Good
"We enjoy our stay in this lovely older home in a quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver by car. Parking was easy, as was access to the house. The house is as described (well, except we didn't know someone was living in the separate basement...probably worth including in the description so visitors aren't surprised.) There was plenty of room for our family of four. There's a large master bedroom on the first floor and two bedrooms upstairs. Although it wasn't that hot in Vancouver when we visited, the upstairs bedrooms got quite warm during the day. One of them has a portable air conditioner (so a nice addition would be a portable a/c in the other one.)We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood: just a few blocks down the hill are some truly spectacular Vancouver homes with water views. Just a block away are a few restaurants, a Tim Hortons and a Dairy Queen. A 10-minute walk up Dunbar offers more places to eat, a grocery store and a drug store. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."
