"This unit did not have a dishwasher, although the instructions indicated “before leaving the unit, load the dishwasher…” we were not planning to wash dishes during this stay. We needed more blankets and we also didn’t realize the fireplace was wood burning. We had to buy wood; it ended up being more trouble than it was worth. The shower and tub dripped, the toilet ran nonstop, and the water actually had a bad smell. That being said, we enjoyed our stay and the grounds are beautiful!"

"We found clumps of hair in bathroom, dust on furniture and beef hands crumbs under sheets and mattress pad. I also got eaten to with something the first night i slept in it and is why we pulled all the sheets of and slept in blankets. Otherwise the condo was comfortable and loved the location."

"Location right on the beach was wonderful. Kitchen was well equipped and the furniture was all very new and comfortable. Things that would have made it perfect were more and better quality towels and a better/bigger TV in the main family room. Communication with the host was great."

"Property was fine, beautiful scenery. However for the price you pay, you would think you could get a decent nights rest. Not the case here. Others people don't obey the quiet hours and the beds were some of the worst we've ever slept on. Not worth the money if yoi wake tired, sore all over, and not rested at all."

"Dirty, animal hair everywhere, stunk of animals, mouse traps everywhere, mouse poop all over, clothes in the dryer, shower faucet was half broken, bed sheets and animals hair, not a 4 bedroom as advertised, air mattresses all had holes. Not at all acceptable for a "vacation rental", 2 nights we stayed and it was not cheap, I expected way more."

"The cottage is immaculately furnished inside, and the bed is very comfortable. Just a very short walk to Main Street. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting St. Charles."

"We had a great time! The Red Barn was just what we needed for some quiet time to relax and take our time in St. Charles. The location is the perfect distance from the main street so you don't have to walk far to find something to do, but it's also not right on the "main drag" where you'd have people walking by all the time. Thanks for the hospitality!"
