"Impressive building but disappointing breakfast and I was surprised by £22 parking charge. Having paid over £230 for one night stay I thought this costly extra should be given prominence in the hotel’s info. So all in all the room was ok, the historic interiors were impressive but I wouldnt rush back."

"Room was clean and staff were nice. Good breakfast selection. Was quite busy over Easter and the kids corner in the lobby is a great idea. We could only book the pool for 30min slots which was the only downside. The walk to the town from the back was much nicer."

"The hotel is very centrally located which makes it a great spot to stay. However the hotel is tired looking. The lifts are really grubby and need a refresh. the toliets downstairs also need some TLC. The staff couldn't have been nicer and I would stay again for the shear convenience. The beds were basic but comfortable. The pillows are too small and not comfortable. "

"Fast, efficient and friendly check in service. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. Car parking easily accessible and we were able to leave the car in the hotels park until 5pm on day of check out which was a bonus. Lovely clean modern hotel close to the town centre. Our room was on the 8th floor which had wonderful views over the town. The rooms were lovely and clean with everything we needed including a fridge. The super king bed was comfortable too. I can't fault this hotel especially as it was so reasonably priced too. Will certainly be staying again."
