Lovely hotel, situated just outside of York and a few minutes away from the Park and Ride, which I would suggest you use to get into York. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the parking facilities were great.

This hotel didn’t disappoint. Location was great to visit York. Although we left there to move onto a hotel in the centre of York I actually wish we had stayed here instead, restaurant was good, staff were attentive.

Staff were amazing, but the place had a rundown feel to it. The public areas were quite modern, but the rooms certainly were not. The room was ,in fairness , quite large , but the bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly and the sink was badly cracked. Some of the architrave looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Also , the food in the restaurant , whilst acceptable , was not what you would expect in a four star hotel , and overpriced too.

There were some comments about rooms needing an upgrade so I was a bit worried. However, I got a very spacious room with a large comfy bed, the bathroom had a bathtub and a lot of space for my cosmetics, room was also very well equipped. One downside was lack of AC but at least the window opened. The hotel reception, lounge, bar and restaurant are much updated and really nice and comfortable. Lots of room to spread out and space is nicely designed. Breakfast was also very good, all menues covered. The hotel is only 10 mins from York city centre with bus stop just outside which was very handy. Overall, a very nice stay.
