Independent in Ventura - Oxnard

"Parking was closed off the secondary exist. Only one was in and out. The room had a stench like they used dirty polluted water or something to clean everything. The bathroom had an initial weird smell as well. The TV setup is at least 10-15 years old, but I assume they do not want to upgrade anything because they would have to charge more per night to "justify" the cost. The mattresses were exctremely thin and uncomfortable, as were the pillows. Again, you get what you pay for. Theres no way you can justify $140 per night rate, but this is Ventura so it is what it is. "

"Our view was amazing from the room. Bathroom was a little odd only having a sliding door and no counter space. Water pressure would change quickly as well. But overall it was a great stay. "

"It is so rundown. Registration office is towards the back. Everything is too old. Vintage can be beautiful and mixed with newer things would be nice. The towels were so small and thin. Beds were not very comfy. The breakfast was terrible. Online photos were deceiving. WILL NEVER GO BACK. Especially for what they charge. Almost $300 a night we expected it to be nicer. Leo was very nice however and helped us find our room."

"The hotel is a mix of updated and outdated. There was water damage to the bathroom cabinet, a dated bath/shower enclosure, rust on metal fixtures, bedside lamps that were starting to fall off the wall, blinds that were were starting to wear, and single-pane windows to the front of the building/ parking and hwy noise. Then the bed, drawers, and ocean facing window were clearly updated and replaced not as long ago. Breakfast was very basic and included few warm options, besides toast and bagels. The rooms do not have water kettles or coffee, so you have to access this during breakfast hours. Overall, it was lovely to have such a view and I am not sure I would stay again anytime soon."

"I would never recommend this motel 6 to anyone. First off there shampoo, soap, hair dryer, coffee maker. Beverage machine was broken, when I went to go to the office to ask for shampoo and soap the attendant was rude and said there was no soap or shampoo. This place only wants your money and could care less if your stay was good. I can’t proof it but one hour after we checked out we got an alert from our bank and was told someone was trying to use our credit card and this was the only place I used my card. They should give us a total credit refund because this motel is operated poorly and by bad management. Even when we got there to check in there was a bad disturbance and the police were in the parking lot looking for the people causing the problem. No one wants to stay at a motel and get bad service, unfriendly management, and have problems there and police officers roaming the building."
