"The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a great restaurant recommendation. The room was a good size, comfortable, clean, and provided everything we needed. The location was close to the station but tucked away so it was nice and quiet. There were lots of restaurants and shops close by. We would definitely recommend it!"

"We loved being within walking distance to Kyoto Station. The front desk was also very helpful in forwarding our luggage to Tokyo. We would definitely stay here again."

Hotel Emion in Kyoto offered us a great all round experience for a decent price, the public baths are a good alternative to the onsets give the price, food and accommodation were decent. Location was really good- close to most things (20-25 ) min train ride.

Accommodation with half board option is a must without consideration. It takes our the needs to worry about where to eat for breakfast and dinner, then you can skip lunch for more time with site visits. The public bath is nice and clean. Staff are friendly.

This is the most amazing little hotel we ever stayed at and we do travel a lot. Our superior room was big compared to the average Japanese hotel room and the bathroom was very modern. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful - special thanks to the chef who realised that we did not really eat much of our Japanese breakfast and made us a more European style breakfast the next day with coffee!!! We did not expect this so “arigato”

We had a very good stay at Umekoji Potel Kyoto, and the hotel itself was lovely. However, the worst part was receiving a phone call from the hotel at midnight asking us to come down to the lobby to pay the Kyoto accommodation tax. Since we were staying for two nights, this could easily have been handled the next morning. Asking guests to come down at 12 am was unnecessary and inconvenient, especially for a family travelling with a child. I believe the staff need more training in guest service...

We stayed in the Nohga Suite… WOW! The room was next level, the location was so convenient and the breakfasts at the restaurant were one of the best we’ve ever had. The rooftop bar was also 👌 Highly recommend!

I checked in around 2pm and was warmly welcomed by two friendly and professional staff members. They went above and beyond to assist with arranging my airport transfer, which was greatly appreciated. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is also in a fantastic location, making it easy to get around. A wonderful stay and I would happily return.

Kenji-san provided exceptional service from start to finish. He greeted us and offered to store our bags as we arrived before the check-in time. When we returned he recognised us and the process to get our room was easy.
We were served by Kenji-san again on our check-out and asked about our stay. Absolutely impeccable.
I enjoyed the fitness room and having the water replenished every day. The use of IPad to control temperature, curtains, lighting and to call for hotel services was unique....

Absolutely beautiful hotel , the service is great , there is a beautiful onsen and a delicious free snack bar . The hotel has a.well equipped gym and several laundry machines , it is not.very central but it is not far away either from the main attractions , plus there js a subway station only few meters away . Highly recommended it

This hotel is amazing! Not only clean and quiet and very modern but perfectly positioned close to all of the metro / train stations and hundreds of dinings options. The main road is great and bustling but also take the time to drop back one or two streets and explore the more traditional stores and eateries, it’s like a different city!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto!
