The staff are what make the stay at this hotel, helpful, friendly and caring. Everything is kept clean and tidy. The rooms are getting a little worn. All the floor tiles in our room moved when we walked on them. Good breakfast choices and complimentary early morning yoga were a lovely bonus. Diving into you own pool after a hot day out and about is priceless. The free shuttle service into Central Ubud was great. I think the rooms and restaurant were considerably over priced in comparison to most other places we stayed.
We booked a standard room which was nice but didn't have a balcony. So we asked if we could change the next day to a superior room with balcony. Cost us $25usd extra a night but well worth it. The view was amazing! We were on the 4th floor, overlooking the pool and it was about 60 steps up and down each time. Good to work off all that food and Bintang!
The Royal Pitta Maha is a resort that is owned by the King in Ubud, its breathe taking views make you feel blessed to witness such exhilarating views. I live in a city and never really get to see natural beauty and the resort had all those things I imagined. I went with my two children and wanted them to experience somthing different so they could widen their horizen and thats exactly what this place did to them.
My sons are 8 and 11, all they wanted to do was stay at the resort and swim in the private pool. Room service for me wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be but when the tax is added on then I felt like it was time to go to town to eat.
Transportation to go to town comes right outside the lobby and takes you to the local shopping centre where there are lots of shops, resturaunts and plenty of cash machines. loved the fact transportation comes on time every time.
The spa was something else, it is a huge area of treatment rooms. The treatments are expensive once the tax is added on but I would highly recommend everyone who comes her to definetly get one treatment atleast. I had two wanted a third but my boys thought it was turning into an addiction. Why wouldn't it, it was amazing lol.
Anway I would love to go back it was a lovely place to stay and the staff were very gracious.

Wapa di Ume is a delightful resort 5 minutes drive from the centre of Ubud. Its nestles on either side of a small river valley and is surrounded (for now) by rice paddies. The rooms are large and airy and most of them have nice views.
It is supposed to be all about relaxation so guests may be surprised to find no TVs or gym and the two pools are definitely for floating rather than swimming, but the staff are wonderful and the restaurant serves great food.
If you want to get away from the world staying in Ubud this resort is a great choice.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel and it really lived up to our expectations. The room was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the jungle and a pool. The pool is large, great for laps. The food is excellent. It is about 20 minutes from Ubud either with free hotel shuttle or private transport.
Finished off my trip to Bali with a few days at the Maya Ubud in one of their private pool villas - I never wanted to leave. Absolutely amazing experience. The infinity pool was perfection, the villa was peaceful and the scenery was magnificent!

From the time you walk into this property to your departure the service and ambiance is excellent. I find it hard to find the words to express how impressed I was with everything. I can not fault a thing. All the staff are exceptional
We stayed at a number of properties throughout Bali and this one outshone them all. the pool, gardens and rooms are well maintained and having a wonderful ambiance to them. The town transfers (depart Hourly) and activities are well organised. The breakfast was the best I had in Bali with the 3 courses being delivered with care and flavour.
The bedding and pillows a dream. This property is great for couples and singles......don't know how a young family would be?
Ubud is the arts and cultural centre of the island. This charming mountain settlement is 25 km (1 hour’s drive) north of Denpasar and comprises 14 villages dotted with palaces, temples, museums, galleries, shops, arts and crafts, and excellent restaurants. Other than a few nightspots, village life is quiet and serene. Don’t miss the nightly traditional dance performances and nearby Monkey Forest Park.
