"So, you walk in through a glorious, grand Victorian Lobby, like something from the golden age of rail. And check in with helpful staff. Then walk to your room through the maze of coridoors that gradually shift to being like something from The Shining. The rooms are clean and tidy, but there is a lot of disrepair and a lot of money needs spending to fix a lot of minor issues. Also the plumbing is loud and makes all kind of ungodly noises. Finally, its clear the hotel is cheap and central enough that people use it when they are planning night out & dont want a taxi home. Yiu hear a lot of coming and going all night & I had one drunk couple try to draw me into their argument, only to later walk past them being arrested from within the hotel. Spend a bit of money, and this could be a great hotel. But right now its more than a little past its best"

"The lobby and lifts stank. The room was freezing, miserable and the bathroom was so full of mould. I arrived late and was greeted by dogs barking and people hiding in dark corners of the car park and I immediately felt unsafe. Was then greeted by a lobby full of homeless people, who were very polite. Check in was fine and staff were polite. The room itself was horrid. Freezing cold, outdated, and with a mouldy bathroom. The walls were so thin you could hear everything. If it hadn’t have been so late I would have left straight away as it was disgusting"

"Great hotel in a good location close to shopping, restaurants and bars. Comfortable and spacious room but there was damage to the sink which had a large chip in it. Also only 2 pillows which were very thin and didn't have pillow protectors on them. They really should be replaced."
