"Sandag Hill is perfect for anyone visiting Sidemen who wants an authentic bamboo hut experience surrounded by nature. The views are absolutely stunning, with sweeping sights of the valley and rice terraces. You’re completely immersed in the beauty and sounds of nature here. The hut had everything I needed, and I especially loved waking up to the sunrise each morning. Lounging in the hammock was one of the highlights of my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to help with anything...

"Ein absolut magischer Ort mitten im ursprünglichen Bali! 🌴 Diese Unterkunft ist wirklich etwas ganz Besonderes und einer der schönsten Orte, die wir auf Bali erlebt haben. Utama Villas Beach Front Candidasa

Manggis

10/10 Excellent

This locally owned Villa and Cottage accommodations are great value. I stsyed in an ocean front room, great views and clean. This is a no-frills place to stay, no TVs but it has Wifi. There is an on-site warung/restaurant and the food is delicious and well priced. There are loads of warungs within walking distance and lots of drivers to take you into Candi if the 2km walk is not your thing. The best part of the stay was the wonderful staff.

The Sidemen Villas

Sidemen

10/10 Excellent

First time staying at Sidemen Villa, I’m initially thought I would be bored but the villa is so tranquil. Waking up to the sound of the jungle & view of the Mt Agung from the bed is beyond description. Service via WhatsApp is very efficient and breakfast can be served on request with no additional cost. Facilities are new and very well kept. I want to keep this a secret but this place deserved to be known. Enjoy people - you won’t regret!

Villa Sasoon

Karangasem

10/10 Excellent

We stayed in Villa 4 and it was simply gorgeous. We stayed over Christmas as two couples. The space was just wonderful to swim, relax, drink and play cards by the pool. The two bedrooms in separate villa pods were extremely comfortable and spacious, each with their own ensuite. The in-villa breakfast service was lovely (although it would have been nice to see an Indonesian brekkie of nasi goreng or mie goreng on the menu). Ada and the rest of the staff at Villa Sasoon were professional and...

DHAUTEYA VILLA

Karangasem

10/10 Excellent

We had an the most amazing 3 day stay at the Dhauteya Villas. We stayed in the Panoramic Beach view villa. The Villa was tasteful and had every little detail you could possibly need. The bathroom was perfect. We could not have been more comfortable. The outside area was very relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful beachfront view and watch the sunrise everymorning. That staff were so friendly and help. The lovely owner and her team including Kadek who helped with activities. Everyone was...

Bali Seascape Beach Club

Karangasem

10/10 Excellent

Situated right on the beach, Bali Shangrila Beach Club is a perfect getaway destination. It is one of only a few resorts left in Candidasa that has its own white sand beach with a coral reef teaming with fish about 30 metres off shore that provides some of the best snorkelling in Bali. No need to go to Blue Lagoon or Amed. It's all right here and only a 5 minute walk into the main street. Candidasa has great restaurants. I highly recommend Vincent and La Rouge as well as the Crazy Kangaroo and a...

Taman Surgawi Resort & Spa

Karangasem

10/10 Excellent

This new hotel only had 7 people staying here when we were there. The staff went out other their way to ensure we had a great time- prices were reasonable for food and touring; we went to Amet beach twice, had a don't miss lunch at the Water Place, ate two dinners at Le Zat in Chandi Desa. And did a Day Tour too! Great value in a rather unexplored part of Bali. I've been there 30 times and there's always new things to see do and experienced.

The Griya Villas and Spa

Karangasem

10/10 Excellent

We loved our stay at the Griya Villas and spas. We had one of the deluxe villas with a private pool and ocean view. The view is spectacular. It's like 2 villas with a courtyard. The living room / kitchen villa is so relaxing. The common areas of the hotel are also very nice and clean. The pool is very beautiful. It was very quiet when we were there, which made the stay very enjoyable. The spa therapists are very good and the spa offer is great. Watch out if you take the yoga classes. Make sure...

10/10 Excellent

Our stay at Barong was beautiful, from the grounds and gardens to the exquisite room and view. This is the real Bali. Beautiful and tranquil countryside setting among rice fields. Agung was a wonderful host who made our stay so much more special. He was very knowledgeable about the local area and very enthusiastic and fun to interact with each day. Made and all the staff here at Barong were a delight. The traditional blessing on entry was a great taste of culture and start to the stay. The...
