"I really wanted to rate this hotel a 10/10 because it’s truly beautiful and is so perfect for the location. The beds are comfortable, the shower is great, the parking is super convenient and our room was massive. But a couple of things let it down - one is accessibility. They need to make people aware either on the property listing on Expedia or at the very least at reception that 50% of the rooms have quite a few stairs to get to them. As someone with knee injuries and having luggage, if I didn’t have my teenage son with me, I would’ve had to go back to reception to change my room. A simple heads up that there are stairs would’ve saved a lot of hassle. Anyone with a large suitcase would’ve been inconvenienced as there is no elevator. The other thing is that the WIFI is horrendous. If you’re wanting to get some work or study done in the evening while you’re on vacay, that’s not gonna work. The mobile reception isn’t great either so they really need to upgrade the router. Our room was right down the end of the hallway so perhaps that’s why, but either way it’s very inconvenient. I hope they can make these changes. "

"The hotel is situated in a good location, close to shops, easy access, has three good restaurants. Ambiance at the restaurants is beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Stayed there 3 nights for a birthday staycation. However, one of the ice buckets i requestes to chill my expressed breast milk has a very yucky rusty cover. Staff apologized for this, and later that day I saw reception staff carefully scrutinizing ice buckets at the front desk. Some coffee cups were dusty and the shower curtain edges had a few moldy spots in it, they asked me for my feedback and i did tell IHG about this so they moved us to a better room with a double ensuite. After a few days, I was surprised to see that my credit card was charged twice for our whole stay. I have paid for the nights weeks in advance and staff have acknowledged this, but charged us again. After I alerted staff, It took a few hours to get a response via email. They were apologetic but to my dismay refunded the wrong amount, less than what we paid for - Another mistake! If i didnt check twice I would have lost money twice! Quite unbelievable! I have lost trust in leaving my CC details at 5 star hotels. And 4 days counting I still havent gotten a refund of my double charge. The attention to detail in payments and refunds is lacking, unfortunately"

"Warm welcome and a quick check in. Everything was explained helpfully. The chalet was big enough and clean and comfortable. The basic catering amenities were good. Nice bathroom. Parking outside the chalet with the beach 200m away. Nice and quiet. Highly recommend."

"It took a while to find someone to check us in. Also had trouble reserving a table for dinner as the online site wouldn't accept my mobile number. When you find a staff member and ask to make a reservation, they say yes, got it, but nothing happens. Apart from that 10/10 for everything. Great beer and food. Very lively and busy place but quiet upstairs in our room which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Highly rated."
