"We had a wonderful 2-night stay. The front desk staff member that checked us in was very friendly and personable. The room and bathroom were clean. The view from our room was spectacular. The location was away from all the craziness of Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf, and yet we had a cable car stop next door. Definitely staying here on my next trio to this beautiful city!"

"The room was spotless, and smelled clean. Courteous staff, very helpful. What stood out to me was once you got in and went to your room the layout of the hotel was beautiful. A little courtyard with a fountain type set up. The pool was so nice and clean and set up with a nice loungy area. Two palm trees swaying out front. Price was great. The only complaint i had was the bathroom was super small, but it wasn't so bad that i would take a star away. I plan on coming here for a get away and relax during summer and swim. "

"Excellent location near Union Sq and Powell BART. Rooms are small but for a solo traveller who spends little time in his room it was absolutely fine and well-priced. The place is not new, but it was clean, staff were courteous and attentive and helped me with the extraordinary amount of sports gear I was carrying. My meeting was at the St Francis a couple hundred feet away… stayed here for the entire conference for the price of one night there. And still had time to go back to my room during breaks. Would absolutely stay here again. "

"Awesome historical hotel centrally located just steps away from Union Square and Powell St. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Tne rooms comfortable and spacious. The only disadvantage is that the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or coffee shop. There is a little smell throughout the property. But in general we enjoyed our stay "
