Crowne Plaza San Diego - Mission Valley by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"The room and bathroom were a great size. The bed was very comfortable. We had a view of the pool area which was beautiful. Very nice atrium. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We found the lay out difficult to manage. We were on the 2nd floor down the hall from the elevator and in order to get to the parking lot or pool, we had to walk to the elevator, go down 1 flight, walk up an incline and walk through an entrance, down another ramp out to the parking lot. To go to the pool or the front of the hotel, we had to do the first couple of steps then down the 1st floor hallway through the pool area, up steps to the building on the other side of the pool through the glass doors to get to the front desk. It wasn't laid out well for a handicapped person or someone that has a walker or a hard time walking long distances and navigating stairs. That said, the location was great with respect to shopping and a variety of restaurants. Easy access to the freeway. We ordered some food at the bar, which we took back to the room, and everything was cooked to our liking and delicious."
