"I can see why this place is rated 8/10. I would agree with that overall. Some pros: it is excellent for location, as it is in a prime area of the city, close to a lot of sites and accessible by transit. We didn't drive but parking is a nightmare in Chicago. I wouldn't blame the hotel for that. The room was very spacious, huge ceilings, giant closet, comfortable bed, lots of windows, renovated, and clean. It is a very nice, art-deco style of building, well maintained with some old charm. The cons: the light woke us up every day, as there were no internal curtains, just decorative ones. This needs to be changed immediately. Also, there was no climate control. It was either on or off. You could control the fan speed but that's it. A lot of people complained that the toilet was running. Ours wasn't. The room got noisy at times but that's also not the hotel's fault, as we faced a main road. Keep that in mind while choosing a room. The staff weren't overly friendly but were professional and seemed helpful. For what we paid, it was well-worth the price, as Chicago can get very expensive. Kanye West happened to be performing there for two of the three nights we were there. I think we booked before this announcement or we would've had to pay triple. So, we can't really complain about value."

"This has been my favorite chicago rental so far! It has 1 dedicated parking space. The host has included many little extras like coffee, bathroom amenities, games, books, bath robes. There were way more than enough towels. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms had their own deadbolts and blackout curtains. Everything was super clean and comfortable! The area is cute and has lots of snacks and restaurants. Walkable to bus stops and the Pink Line train ($5 24h pass for all trains/buses) and the area felt safe and populated even after midnight walking to/from transit. Only thing to note is it is very close to active college town bars and they stayed consistently noisy long into the wee hours of the morning. Didn’t bother us but be aware if it bothers you. We will definitely check if this one is available when we travel next time!"

"Apartment was exactly as described, and location worked well for a guys trip to see some baseball. Beds were comfortable; minimalist in design. We didn't need the kitchen at all, so cannot comment there. Only one bathroom, but again, as described. Not a level floor in the place, and getting up the uneven stairs was a bit tricky for my 82-year-old father. Beat the heck out of multiple hotel rooms, and we enjoyed sitting in the living room after the games to relax and just hang out. Would be nice to have something in the apartment with recommendations for local restaurants, etc. I would stay there again, but maybe not with my dad."

"We were very pleased with our stay. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and stocked with all of the essential kitchen items we needed. The beds were very comfortable, and we appreciated the extra pillows that were provided. The apartment was also easy to access and being located in the back of the building made it feel quiet and private. Our host was very attentive and answered our questions quickly and even left us a few treats and water which was much appreciated. The only challenge we experienced was parking. The listing does mention that side streets offer free parking, but it would have been helpful to have more information about how limited those spots are. Most of the surrounding streets require permits, and on one occasion it took me over an hour to find an available non-permit parking spot.Overall, I would recommend this property and had a great experience. Future guests should simply be aware that parking can be challenging, especially during busy times."
