"Hotel Ursa was in a quiet and pretty neighborhood but still had the convenience of a big metro station nearby, good restaurants and interesting shops a short walk away (and in some cases across the street!)
And, it was a beautiful luxurious hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff."

"I can’t recommend this hotel enough. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The area was quiet and safe - there are government buildings nearby so there are armed guards on the street at all hours (but not in a scary way). I would 100% feel safe staying here as a solo traveler. The room had just enough space and a lovely rain shower. Free breakfast help us save a good bit of money each day. "We stayed at the Barceló Torre de Madrid for 5 nights (November 19–24) to celebrate our anniversary, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel special. They surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade, welcomed us with free drinks, and even gifted us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our occasion — such a thoughtful touch!
The hotel’s location couldn’t be better. It sits right on Gran Vía, Madrid’s main avenue, meaning we were just steps away from major attractions, great restaurants, and endless things to do. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient.
Our room was modern, comfortable, and spotless, and every interaction with the hotel team was warm, friendly, and respectful. Their level of service made our stay feel truly memorable.
We absolutely loved our experience and will definitely be returning on our next trip to Madrid. Highly recommended!"
"Great location. The hotel is located very close to Puerta del Sol and all the shops and restaurants, but not so close that it was loud outside the open window. The lobby had a lot of stairs incorporated into the design, so not ideal for differently abled or immobile guests, but the design was beautiful and modern. The room was spotless. The front desk staff were friendly but lacked warmth. I didn't feel especially welcomed. The bellman were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was quite nice with multiple delicious options on a large buffet, and reasonably priced. The room design and amenities were quite nice and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The shower had nice water pressure."
"spotless, extremely quiet, temperature controlled rooms. friendly and helpful english speaking staff. yes the rooms are small but for the unbelievable price you can't really argue. if you're planning on spending your trip mostly inside your hotel room then this isn't for you but otherwise it's a perfect and affordable accommodation "
