The area was quiet and safe - there are government buildings nearby so there are armed guards on the street at all hours (but not in a scary way). I would 100% feel safe staying here as a solo traveler. The room had just enough space and a lovely rain shower. Free breakfast help us save a good bit of money each day. "Great location. The hotel is located very close to Puerta del Sol and all the shops and restaurants, but not so close that it was loud outside the open window. The lobby had a lot of stairs incorporated into the design, so not ideal for differently abled or immobile guests, but the design was beautiful and modern. The room was spotless. The front desk staff were friendly but lacked warmth. I didn't feel especially welcomed. The bellman were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was quite nice with multiple delicious options on a large buffet, and reasonably priced. The room design and amenities were quite nice and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The shower had nice water pressure."
