Was a god experience with friendly staff and great service. The rooms were clean although it can be better with an additional bench in the room or bathroom to place bags. It’s close to a shopping centre with a range of options for eatery. Overall was a very pleasant stay.

We had a pleasant greeting on arrival and were provided with a delicious gift for my daughter when the Manager on duty became aware that it was my daughter's birthday. It was such a lovely gesture and great beginning to our little staycation.

We loved our stay at the Mercure Doncaster. The room was clean, staff were lovely and the outdoor area would be great on a nice day. The only thing I didnt like was that the room service menu was a bit expensive, and the overnight menu is very limited and there was no answer when we tried to order something at midnight after returning from a function.

So easy to stay here
This is a great hotel & location for business travellers, a few blocks away from the freeway & a direct bus route to the city CBD, for those users of Apple Products or in need of Office works & or Bunnings they are all a short walk, with Westfields right next door & a abundance of dining locations its an easy place to stay, the room sparkled with cleanliness when I arrived and this was consistent for my time there, I'm now going to use this location on all of my visits to Melbourne

We got allocated a disability room (we have no disability’s) tiny window over carport (we booked a city view) hardly and vanity to hold toiletries bag and one small bathroom mirror. Clean and lock room button lights up at night on the wall facing the bed. Alarm went off at 1am (we did not set this) overall so disappointed with our stay

Great location for clean, modern hotel.
Very pleased with the comfort, cleanliness, and location of the Mercure Melbourne Doncaster hotel. Also great to be walking distance to Doncaster Shoppingtown. Only slight annoyance was that I thought the $25 for parking per night was a bit steep.

The room was clean and modern with a comfortable bed. The check in process was simple. The only two things which were a little annoying was that there wasn’t enough coffee in the room and the car parking system doesn’t work. The breakfast was good value too and lots of selection.

We were very happy with the room but unfortunately we would’ve expected at least a bar fridge with cold bottles of water and tea and coffee making facilities in room. Very disappointed when we approached management and they said you can get water and coffee from the restaurant. This is not acceptable for guests to have to rely on the opening hours of a restaurant to have a tea or coffee or at the very least a drink of water which isn’t directly from the bathroom tap. When we approach management about this they said you’ll have to pay for your coffee is not acceptable for a hotel which is pride in itself on its star rating and amenities and customer service. The manager then said don’t worry will do it for you complimentary, we said then declined the offer as we were quite annoyed by his reaction.

All of our guest rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and sachets provide in the console underneath the TV I apologise that this was not communicated to you during your stay. As part of our sustainability goals we are a single use plastic free hotel, and provide filtered still and sparkling water in refillable glass bottles from our bar area, however we do deliver these to the room on request, and again I am sorry our communication has let us down on this occasion. Second time we have stayed. We had to keep extending due to a relative that was sick in hospital and the staff were very accomodating. The parking is a little problematic, wanted $60 on the credit card every time we drove out even though it was included in our package. We were very comfortable and the staff are lovely. The funeral is next week so we have recommended the hotel for our intestate relatives to stay at.
