This cottage was the perfect little getaway for my family of four. With a great location, everything within walking distance and once you get the fire going you melt into relaxation with a glass of wine. You don’t even need to source the firewood as it’s all supplied. The breakfast was amazing. Would definitely recommend

Wondeful Ada Cottage
We were 4 adults and spent 2 nights at Ada Cottage. The cottage is well located in the middle of Warburton. It retains an historical charm and has all the amenities we needed. We loved the fireplace in the living room.

Spectacular position and location.
Extreme relaxation, with many activities to do if wanted. Every detail has been thought of. Exquisite licatiin in late autumn opposite the looming hills of the Yarra valley. We could have easily stayed a week as there is so much to do!

Rainforest Bliss
We had a wonderful stay. Ada Cottage is beautiful and relaxing. Supplied with everything we needed and more. The kids were kept occupied by exploring the grounds and learning about the wildlife. Charming house on a hill
We had such a lovely long weekend at the cottage. Perfect size for our family (2 adults, 2 kids). The kids loved the huge bath tub (and bubble bath provided) and the vegemite/jam sachets! They also loved relaxing on the balcony and listening to the kookaburras. We walked everywhere - to the playground, the IGA/food shops and the river walk too. Also recommend Alpine hotel for really good dinner (and kids menu/games). We are hoping to come back again! Thanks for having us. :)

The house was lovely, perched up on the hill with views down towards the sporting fields and the hills beyond. We enjoyed the front verandah to sit and relax as it was raining most of our 2 days. The house was warm and nicely decorated with comfortable beds. 2 bathrooms, one with a bath. Would recommend

Property was clean and had all you need for a pleasant weekend away. Loved the fireplace and outdoor fire pit. So much space for 2 couples and having the two bathrooms a bonus. However perhaps a shower curtain in first bathroom may help avoid water everywhere. Kitchen spacious and well equipped. Thank you

Lovely, comfortable and spacious cottage
The cottage is located on an elevation, steps/ slopes negotiation to get into the property is required. Within walking distance to the shops and close to the lovely river walk . All amenities well provided for , very comfortable beds and lovely furnishings. Lovely and generous breakfast provisions were provided for us on our first day of arrival ( Thank you , Kathy). If you stay on Fridays and Saturdays there is a Thai Food Van ( mobile) that operates across the road from the cottage. They serve authentic Thai Street Foods.

Heart of Warburton
Great location, and cosy house once we got the fire going, and very thankful for the heaters in each room. That driveway in VERY steep to drive down, but we managed ok. Had a lovely weekend stay and would highly recommend.

Great position. Generous host ( tea coffee milk bacon eggs etc. ). Hanging hooks needed for clothes. Can’t fill bath from taps without water running on the floor. Tricky front door lock. We didn’t expect such a steep climb (2 guests in their 80’s) Nice comfortable beds.

Peaceful stay in a picturesque location
My mother and I really enjoyed our stay in this lovely historic home in beautiful Warburton. The house has many period features as well as plenty of modern touches to make it very livable. The rooms are all tastefully decorated and the bedrooms and ensuite bathroom have been nicely renovated. The beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels were of high quality. There is a hairdryer in the ensuite but it was quite small and took a long time to dry hair. Bring your own from home if you plan to wash long hair. The kitchen/meals area is much larger than in the photos and there is a large circular dining table, a full sized free standing gas stove/oven and a full sized fridge. The only issue we had was there were no instructions on how to light the gas oven so we gave up after about 15 minutes and used the microwave instead. It would also be good if a light could be installed over the stovetop as it was hard to see when you were cooking. The lounge room has a fireplace with a door and reverse cycle heating/cooling and was reasonably comfortable. There are windows on 2 sides so it was light and nicely decorated. There is undercover parking for 1 car plus plenty of space for another and enough room to turn around before heading back up the steep driveway. There are a set of bluestone steps down to the back door and a steep pathway to the courtyard which was great for wheeling suitcases. My mother coped ok but people with mobility issues might struggle to access the house. The gardens are lovely with lots of different trees and flowers but the paths were a bit overgrown with a lot of weeds and blackberry poking through. The walk down to the main highway via the front garden was very useful to access the supermarket and the walk along the river. There is a lot to see in the area and some lovely drives to the towns nestled behind the Dandenong Ranges, like Emerald and Monbulk. We also did a day trip to the Yarry Valley which was only 30 mins away. Such a wonderful area to visit and our 4 nights was not enough to see everything so we will be back!

Beautiful place in a beautiful town
This property was superb. A beautiful cottage with views of the Yarra ranges and river. It doesn't get any better. It was only a short walk to the lovely town of Warburton and the local shops and cafes. The house was well appointed with all the creature comforts and breakfast provisions were provided as well as a nice bottle of Yarra Valley wine. Kathy was great to deal with and provided advise and was quick to get back to us with any queries we had. We would definitely stay again if we are back in the Yarra Valley.

Perfect short stay
Gorgeous property, right in the middle of town, within walking distance to restaurants, the river, shops and sightseeing. A small homestead surrounded by a rambling garden, overlooking the sports grounds and, in the short distance, the river. Spotless and comfortable, this two bedroom house has plenty to delight the eyes. Each of the two bedrooms have their own bathroom space and both boast satisfying showers. The hosts are generous with breakfast and tea and coffee provisions. Thanks for a lovely place to stay!

Charming house with rambling garden in central Warburton area. Easy access to warburton trail and town centre. Our kids loved exploring the garden and very comfortable house with lively outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the surrounds/views. Thanks for a great stay.

Lovely, clean and cozy
The property was in a very central location, with nice views and a great outdoor area. It was very clean, with appealing decor and plenty of space for a small cottage. The kitchen is well equipped; it is an older kitchen with limited bench space and a old stove, but it was sufficient for cooking meals and had a lovely table for enjoying meals. The house warmed up well. No wifi, which for us was a good thing! A bluetooth speaker, TV and DVD were supplied and we added a library of DVDs from the nearby opp shop which was closing down and selling them cheap! Warburton is a great area with lots of enjoy. Definitely recommend this light-filled house, right in town but with views of trees and some friendly birds and no feeling of being close to neighbours.

Not what it seems.
The bathroom called an ensuite is the laundry. The other bathroom has a claw foot bath with overhead rain shower which sends water all over the walls, floor, everywhere. If you run a bath, the tap doesn’t quite reach and the water bounces off the rim running down the wall. The location is fantastic. The house is tired. The glasses are up so high in a cupboard you have to stand on a chair to reach them. The stovetop is old and one of the dials is broken.

Great stay for the Family in Warburton
The place was amazing and very picturesque in hills of Warburton great views and very close to shops and the river for walks. Visited the local shops and cafes and they were great, staff very friendly and good food and options for kids as well. The place had everything we needed it was very clean and photos told the true story. Although it was winter so much to do, fire place in living was great a heap of fire wood was provided and heating in all rooms making the place very cosy. Went to Lala Falls and the red wood forest which was great. The place was super clean and bedding was was very comfortable. Kathy was an amazing host very easy to contact and very prompt in replying to all our questions, happy to help in any way she could. So many additions and all little things taken care of making the stay very convenient, direction to get into the property, provide milk bread, butter breakfast for first morning, eggs bacon, juice, a bottle of wine to have as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would definitely not hesitate to return again in the future.

Lovely home and owner, nicely decorated, with all amenities for cooking and cleaning and with historic charm. I stayed here with two kids no worries. Don't stay here if you have limited mobility e.g. elderly as steep stairs and driveway from car port to house.

Unique and homely
We enjoyed having the outdoor are and front balcony to share with our friends, instead of 2 individual hotel rooms . Balcony needs 2 more cane chairs as it’s such a great place to sit and view hills . Very generous with linen / kitchen wear and breakfast . Would stay again

Comfortable cottage and perfect location
Outdoor area was great for lounging or BBQ. Beautiful view of mountains and friendly birdlife to feed. Oven and stove were a bit finicky but still manageable. Location is A+ and the cottage is very quaint, charming and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked, beds very good, convenient for laundry. Overall great little cottage for a family of 4. Highly recommend!

Wonderful relaxing stay!
My family and I had a lovely stay at Ada Cottage. It was a beautiful little period home. The breakfast items and bottle of wine were a lovely touch and much appreciated. We had a fire outside one of the nights and enjoyed sitting on the covered porch while it rained, enjoying the gorgeous views. Loved the location from which we could bike or walk everywhere. The only small negative was the occasional street noise from the master bedroom during the night as I am a light sleeper and not used to noise. All in all, a wonderful stay!

Very cosy home
We stayed for 3 nights in July and loved the views of the mountain, the garden settings and nice warm fireplace with plenty of wood supplied. This house was ideal for our family of 4 with comfy beds, clean rooms and well appointed kitchen including breakfast. Kathy is a helpful and informative host who kept in contact with us during the stay to assist.

Lovely heritage property
There is so much to enjoy in this period house. There are numerous options to keep yourself warm and the beds were very comfy, the place was spotless and there were no dramas accessing the property. In addition, the welcome pack of food stuffs was a great touch, as was the heater on to warm the property upon our arrival. Just as a note for others, the road outside can be noisy early in a morning. We also thought the owners could leave more than one tea towel and one bin liner, although if more were available and we missed them, apologies. We also couldn't find a grater. Only small things. One personal preference we had was that we felt, given how lovely the property was, the net curtains weren't necessary. The view when pushed aside is great and it brings in so much natural light, besides which, they hide all the beautiful period elements. That's a subjective thing though and we would definitely recommend this property for families and couples. There is plenty of space, it's well appointed and warm and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay. 😀

Gorgeous Home close to Town Centre
Wonderful old charm Edwardian holiday home, decorated beautifully. Comfortable beds, cosy lounge with wood fire, great kitchen - everything you need. Nice breakfast and a beautiful local bottle of wine. Walk into town in 5m - IGA in 2m. Thank you for a lovely stay we will be back.

Ideally located close to the town, Ada Cottage is extremely comfortable self-contained accommodation. We stayed with our 3 children and had plenty of space. Kathy was very responsive on check-in and throughout the stay. We would definitely stay at Ada Cottage again.

What a BEAUTIFUL home. Seriously 10/10. We have stayed at a lot of places locally and overseas and it’s one of my favourites. The tranquility, and listening to the birds in the morning. The view was amazing and it’s close to everything. Also as a family I was worried it wouldn’t be child friendly but it was actually the perfect house for children to play in a courtyard or verandah. Also the laundry comes in handy!!! Only suggestion is to consider wifi not because we wanted to sit on the internet but we had trouble with reception on our phones.

Just what we needed
We were looking for a little break at the end of the long weekend and Kathy’s property was just perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our nights here - it’s so close to all amenities and had everything we needed! Breakfast provisions & bottle of local wine were such a lovely touch.
