"The property itself was clean and nicely kept up. However there is no private beach as advertised, and no restaurants or bars. The area around the property, and the path to the public beach were full of garbage and disgusting!"

"It was a beautiful place to stay near the waterfront! A lot is close to you, so it’s a huge convenience. The staff was absolutely incredible and so welcoming"

We were a family of five and stayed in a suite for a week. This is really two rooms joined by a short (private) hall. Both rooms were spacious with two big doubles and a single. There was always a selection of great food and juices for breakfast. Even though we faced a back lane it was noisy from the traffic- but that seems to be Naples.
All in all a great place to stay.

Valentina was amazing and very sweet. Alessio was very attentive and the overall experience at the property was great. Naples can be challenging in some way but the property was good

The location was really good, close to the train station and bus stop. The building was very secure and safe but the area was not the safest with consent police presence. The host recommended a really good restaurant that was a 5 minute walk and the food was very excellent - Da Donata.

Guiliana was an absolutely fabulous host.
Great location-walking distance to port and Metro
Nothing was too much trouble.
would stay again if in Naples

An oasis in the chaos.
This property sits right above the McDonalds and right across from Naples Central Train Station… You’d think that would disappoint but it was far from that.
The building entrance sets you back from the street, the elevator takes you up and once you’re inside, it’s peaceful.
The room was large, heaps of space, the outlook was awesome and the facilities were excellent.
Staff were super helpful and made the check in process easy.

This was a fantastic hotel with exceptional personalised experience from the staff. The location is very central and very busy, but the rooms were quiet and the staff treated us very well.

Outstanding. The location and transport links are incredibly convenient, and the room is excellent—featuring very comfortable beds and a sparkling clean, well-appointed bathroom. While the espresso is great, the breakfast selection could use a bit more variety. The staff is truly helpful and accommodating.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Staff are so friendly & helpful. The location is very central but there are a few stairs involved (the staff can assist you) . This is a lovely sanctuary from the noise, bustle and chaos of Naples. Loved Artemisia Domus

We absolutely loved staying at La Ciliegina. It had a luxury boutique, 'small hotel' feel. Location was a dream - literally just minutes from the main shopping streets of Via Chiaia and Via Toledo, Galleria Umberto plus the Royal Palace, Piazza Plebiscito and Teatro San Carlo. We were welcomed on arrival with a lovely tray of Neopolitan pastries and complimentary Prosecco delivered just minutes after we set foot in the room. The standard of this four star hotel was comparable to other...

The best area to stay in Licola Mare is near the coast, particularly around the Via Licola Mare and Via San Nullo areas, for convenient access to the beach and local amenities.
This coastal stretch is the heart of Licola Mare, offering a relaxed environment with easy access to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Along Via Licola Mare, you'll find a selection of beachfront lidos, cafes, and restaurants, making it ideal for those who enjoy spending time by the water. The area is quite spread out, so having a car is beneficial for exploring.
Couples looking for a tranquil seaside escape will find this area particularly appealing. You can enjoy strolls along the shore, dine at waterfront establishments, and benefit from the peaceful surroundings away from the bustle of larger cities.
Families will also appreciate the convenience of staying near the beach.
When is the best time to go to Licola Mare?
The best time to visit Licola Mare is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, or September.
These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures superb for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities without the intense heat and larger crowds of the peak summer months (July and August). You'll find the sea warm enough for swimming and the local establishments fully open.
Families often find early June or September ideal. The weather is still lovely, but the school holidays haven't fully begun or have just ended, meaning fewer visitors and a more relaxed experience. It's a great time for children to enjoy the beach and for parents to explore the local area at a more leisurely pace.
Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate May or September.
