Great location for tourist activities, House not yet quite ready for rental
The location of this house is great for access to tourist activities. Easy access to Rio Fortuna, La Fortuna waterfall and Arenal Volcano.
The house is in the process of being completed, and the materials they are using will help make the house nice. It just isn’t ready for renters yet.
There were a number of issues with the house. 1. There is A/C in one bedroom only which was not disclosed in the house description. The 2nd bedroom and living room/kitchen gets very hot. The doors and windows are not screened, so it makes it harder to cool down the house without getting bombarded by bugs. And there are no ceiling fans to help cool down the house. 2. It is next to a truck storage yard, so we were woken in the middle of the night and early morning by loud truck activity. 3. There is mildew on the wall in the bedroom from the A/C leaking. There is also a strong mildew smell in all the kitchen cabinets and under the sink. 4. The windows facing the truck yard did not have drapes, leading to a lack of privacy.
Overall, give this place time to be completed, and it will be good. But right now, it’s just not ready.
