"The Koubai suite was wonderful. The outdoor bath is very private and peaceful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the private garden was lovely. This is my favourite room in Japan so far!"
"Quite a unique experience with traditional Japanese furniture and room layout. The owner clearly put a lot of thoughts in building out this hotel by integrating modern appliances into traditional Japanese house architecture. Beautifully decorated garden. Staff were super helpful."
"First time in Kyoto and we had the best time in this traditional feeling Japanese ryoken. Staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Their restaurant was traditional, inexpensive and very yummy. No complaints at all, would go back!!! Immaculate gardens around the property, good coffee shop on the parking lots, convenience store close by, close to a major bus route. Absolutely breathtaking neighborhood."
"I loved experiencing a more traditional inn while staying in Japan. This location is perfect for a relaxing and quiet getaway. I had no issues with communication, and the check-in process was easy. "
"There were two Japanese well maintained gardens and stone paving hallway outside. They were beautiful and they made us feel very historical culture. "The hotel is lovely and staff very friendly. It is in a quiet area with a few places to eat. There is a restaurant which we didn't try. There is a free shuttle bus to and from a subway station which was really useful as the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the nearest subway stop. "
