"Fantastic location that's walking distance to the refuge! the room was very clean and the owners were very helpful and gracious. The room itself was basic and maybe a little weary, but the location, secure parking, and kindness of the owners made it great. "Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...
