"Overall great place! FAR from San Jose airport tho! Jazmin and Alejandro are amazing! The food was great, and overall the place is BEAUTIFUL. Our room AC wasn’t the coldest at night, and the larger pools pump was NEVER on. So as someone who managed a pool company at a time in my life, that’s not the best. Hope they get it fixed. But great time, made some cool friends, and the wet bar is the best! "

"Pros We had an excellent stay at the Gilded Iguana. Staff were very helpful and helped us book surf lessons and board rentals as well as a turtle hatching tour at Ostinal. Our room was really nice and clean and all the facilities were beautiful. The restaurant was great and had good food and drinks. The breakfast was more than what you would expect for an inclusive breakfast. I will say there was not a lot of vegan options for breakfast but I was able to easily make changes with the serving...

"The place had lots of mosquitoes. They charged double what they should be for having staff that aren’t well trained. The dining area had dirty cushions. We left early and the only bonus was they gave us a refund. The location is good next to the beach but the pool is cold because it gets no sun. We will never be back and will consider lower cost cabins down the street. Lower the price or procide better service. It felt like a total rip off and we’ve been to Costa Rica five times.
