Very friendly staff and good breakfast! Rooms were just as advertised. The location was close to super markets, restaurants and a good 45 drive to Tamarindo beach. The staff was very responsive and took care of our dietary needs(vegetarian) during breakfast. The staff also quickly took care of the hot water issue we had in our room and promptly provided another room. As we barely knew spanish, we were able to use Google Translate to communicate with the staff.

It’s a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. The pool is great, and there are hammocks beneath the coconut trees, perfect for unwinding. The air conditioning works well, though there’s no refrigerator in the room. Still looking forward to trying the continental breakfast, but expectations are high.

Very disappointing experience – poor customer service and no follow-up I booked Hotel Diriá Santa for September 7–12 (5 nights). However, I did not check in on September 7 and ultimately stayed only 3 nights, from September 8–11. I informed the hotel on the second day that I would be leaving early and requested a refund for the 2 unused nights. I personally spoke with the hotel management three times about this issue. I was repeatedly asked to send an email explaining the situation, which I did. Unfortunately, I have received absolutely no response to my email and no update regarding the refund. This was particularly disappointing because I made several genuine attempts to resolve the matter directly with management. There were also basic issues with the room. The hot water was not working properly, there was no adequate place to hang clothes, and there was no proper table or suitable surface to put personal belongings. The biggest problem for me was not simply the room facilities, but the lack of communication and follow-through from management. If a guest takes the time to contact management three times and follows their instructions by sending the requested email, I believe it is reasonable to expect at least a response. I hope the hotel improves its customer service, room facilities,
