"Definitely accommodation suited for holiday makers with a car. Facilities were immaculate. Limited dining options but able to walk 6-7 minute to train station to Hakone for dinner. Bus 4-5 minutes. "

"We had the most amazing and elaborate Japanese set dinner and breakfast. Hotel staff were attentive and the garden path was lovely however the property could be better maintained specially given the price charged. "
"The hotel itself is great but the room is a bit dated. Overall it is clean and comfortable though. It is close to the Gora station and it is so convenient to travel around. Our stay included dinner and breakfast. Food is good and the servers are excellent. I like the 3 private onsens a lot. Though it is first come first serve, but usually we didn't need to wait. "

"The Suiun is beautiful and amazing! The staff are incredibly polite and accommodating. The property has a beautiful private and public onsen, with options for rooms that have their own onsen. The views of the surrounding mountains are gorgeous. The Japanese style breakfast they offer is impressive, varied, and filling. I will be staying here again in the future."

The Japanese Traditional Breakfast was outstanding as well.

"This was a unique and wonderful experience. We had never experienced a ryokan, but we enjoyed it for a night. Room gives a Zen vibe, and once we got the AC going, the heat was tolerable. But the rest of the hotel was quite warm! Dinner was fun, elaborate. Glad we wore the provided robes because no one was in street clothes. We rented the private spa, and that was relaxing. Keep in mind there is no shower in your room. Also, there are few amenities in this town, so plan ahead if you require snacks. "
