Ryokan in Gunma Prefecture

"The property was gorgeous and the amount of bath options was amazing, many complimentary amenities included, and the spa was perfect as well."

"Clean room, friendly staff and breakfast was thoughtful and delicious."

"The room smelled like it had been smoked in for 20years, the bathroom wasn't great and had some mold presence. The room felt really outdated in general compared to the hotel which looks great when you first come in ! Breakfast was good, and staff really nice. Great location next to the nightlife and the temple is within walking distance !"

"Staff crew is very nice and helpful! Great value with good meals and nice facility"

"The hotel was impeccable! Super courteous staff, private open air hot spring bath. Food was outstanding! Highly recommend"

"Minakamikan is a great place to Stay, Clean and bright interior. Onsen was very nice, rooms have been keep in top shape, with new fresh tatami mats, clean walls, etc. Buffett breakfast had a lot of choices, Japanese and some western items. Wi-Fi in lobby only. free transport to and from Minakami station can be arranged."

"Lovely property, secluded but good shuttle options to ski field (less than 5 mins) and twice daily to Karuizawa. Staff were friendly - used Google translate as there were not many western travellers. Amazing Onsens - all gender seperate apart from private but open 24 hours. Food was great - and a shop for snacks, souvenirs and drinks. Great for winding down and experiencing the snow and small field close by."

"Amazing breakfast/dinner. Convenient central location. Beautiful relaxing atmosphere for hot springs bath. Wonderful staff."
