"Staff were helpful and friendly, but we only spoke in Japanese so not sure if they accommodate guests from abroad very often. Food was ample and tasty (traditional Japanese foods) and served in the privacy of the room. Pillows are traditional Japanese style (small and somewhat hard) so I would recommend bringing your own pillow if you prefer a larger and softer pillow. "The staff (owner?) was friendly and spoke to us in English. They had a place ready for our luggage before check in so we could go to the Snow Monkey Park first. We enjoyed our traditional stay. The hot spring is very hot! I only stayed in for two minutes."
