"The outside of the buildings looked a little old, but inside, it was very clean and very comfortable with an impressive amount of helpful appliances for food and temperature/humidity comfort. The shower and bedroom were particularly nice. I would have given this hotel a perfect 5 star rating, but unfortunately the bedroom window (Room #7) faced a separate residential house that had many very loud and annoying dogs that barked every day from 6am to 12pm without stopping. "Excellent, cozy hotel in Nikko. Comfortable room and bedding. Very clean and well designed. Nice lounge area and a great selection of quality curated food you can reheat on the kitchen area. I wish the Marriott’s in the US were as nice. Staff was terrific. Several good restaurants are 5-10 minutes walking distance and the main sights are a pretty 30 minute walk but taxis and buses are also available."
