Our stay at Toyoko Inn Takasaki Station Nishi 2 was average, but there were a few disappointing aspects. Although we had clearly mentioned at the time of booking that we require a vegan breakfast, the hotel was unable to accommodate this request. It would have been helpful if this had been communicated in advance, as dietary requirements are important for many travelers. Additionally, the room was not cleaned to the standard we expected. While it was not extremely dirty, it did not feel properly maintained or thoroughly cleaned. Communication was also a challenge, as there was a lack of English proficiency among the staff. This made it difficult to discuss our concerns and clarify basic requests. On the positive side, the location near Takasaki Station is convenient. However, improvements in cleanliness, dietary accommodation, and English communication would significantly enhance the guest experience.

The breakfast was, so good. I don't know that is traditional Japanese food or not, but I'm sure that's a great Japanese breakfast meal. Staff were very nice too.

A good basic hotel for one night. However, my room was right next to a noisy elevator and the bell was audible, plus garbage trucks outside at 5.30 am. Request a room high up if you can and away from the elevators. Basic breakfast and coffee for free but go early. Easy to find from the train station, lots of local restaurants nearby. Helpful, courteous checkin staff.

Nice staff

This hotel is old but clean. The staff are accommodating and polite. The room is smaller than I thought. The way from the JR station to the hotel is steep uphill 300 to 400 meters. If you have big luggage, please consider this. The nearest subway takes a ten-minute walk.

The location was perfect, and price was good enough to ignore other disadvantage. If travel is with family, th room is little bit small. Except this, everything was good.

The bed was fine. The location was good. Now for the bad parts. 1. The coffee boiler was small (only about 500 cc) and took an incredible 10 minutes to boil that small amount of water. It has to be the cheapest model on the market. 2. No coffee cup. 3. Terrible wifi in the room. There were periods when I couldn’t watch YouTube videos because the wifi was too slow. 4. An intercom system with speakers in the room so that the management could call staff. While resting in my room in the late morning, the intercom blared loudly multiple times. There was a sign stating that guests weren’t in general supposed to be in their rooms between 10:00 and 16:00 and the use of the intercom reinforced that mentality. 5. Poor selection of food for breakfast. 6. The layout of the food tables was so appalling that it took me more than 15 minutes just to get my food, forget about eating it. The only consideration in the breakfast setup was for the convenience of the staff in putting out the food. A child could have designed a better layout for the food tables. The overall feeling was that the hotel is run for the convenience of management and staff and the customers are simply cattle to be processed through their system. I’ve stayed at many business hotels in Japan nearly all with better experiences. For a major brand, this hotel is appalling.

ホテルとしてはとても良かったのですが、駐車場で立体駐車場に入れていただけませんでした。寸法確認もしましたが、問題なく入るはずが、駐車場のスタッフの方に大きいから入らないと目視で言われました。 平面も空いておらず、仕方なく3日間近くのコインパーキングに停めることに。 寸法確認もしてから行ったのに残念でした
