"The location is excellent, with numerous dining options conveniently situated within walking distance on the main street. However, an improvement in customer service is necessary. The individual who facilitated my check-in did not exhibit a welcoming demeanor, offering only the phrase "checking in" without a greeting."

"Seems like a new property and it is well-maintained. The check in staff was super friendly. The room side facing the pool was quiet and we could not hear freeway noise at all. The sink faucet was a little beat-up, but it functioned well enough to get us through. The underground parking is good and appears safe, but we weren't sure if anyone was watching it. Great location near old town and we plan to return one day."

"The hotel has definitely gone downhill a bit. Recently stayed and the suite we were in had a constant loud AC running all night and the mini fridge was also loud, unable to get a good night sleep.Also the carpet had red stains and front staff at desk could be more nice, their not very friendly. "

"I found my 4-night stay at the Sonesta ES Suites San Diego - Rancho Bernardo very enjoyable. The room was clean and spacious, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was well prepared and included a good variety of items, {however the pancake maker was not working}. I would recommend this facility if you are staying in the area."

"This is a great resort for a family or extended family stay-cation. With many pools, golf, a fishing pond, rec center for the kids, and daily activities, everyone can find something to do. Escondido is a quaint burb of San Diego with many cool breweries and wineries for the grownups. Would recommend to anyone with kids looking for a low key vacation of a week or less."

"I used to like this property on my previous stays. But now they don't seem to care much. When we checked in, we didn't feel as welcome We were told that since we booked with a 3rd party (Expedia) nothing could be change. They charged resort fee, but the pool is closed during the week. The fee only offers wifi and parking. No more late check out, now they charge $35 per hour if you need a little more time to get ready. The safe in the room doesn't work. I mentioned that we were celebrating my bday, and he complete ignored that. In the past I used to receive some discounts or points. Not any more. "
