Good country pub accommodation. Access to upstairs rooms via narrow steep stairs so might be a challenge for some. Staff were great. Excellent food in the restaurant for dinner and a hearty breakfast is provided.

Beautiful, and as lovely as the reviews that led us to stopover in this gorgeous place on our way to the Cornish coast. Beautifully appointed room, amazing hospitality and friendliness and we only wished we had had more time to enjoy. This is a quaint property with everything you expect from a place built in the 1400s. The restaurant and bar area has many of the features of an old property such as beams, low ceilings and slab floors. The room we had was a large one in a converted older out building at the front of the property. It had its own outdoor sitting area and easy access to the adjacent carpark. This was a great place to stay. The room was very clean and had a great bathroom. It was a simple walk into the city which had ample places to visit, eat and shop.

The first sight is exactly as the photo of the Inn, and we walked in to a happy and friendly pub, not rowdy, and collected our keys to our room which was as shown in the website. Generous with tea, coffee and milk, plus a pair of binoculours to look out onto the hill behind.
