"The hotel, its amenities and staff are definitely 5 star quality. The standard rooms, however, are four star and the beach itself i would rate as maybe 3 stars. The beach amenities are outstanding with fresh fruit juice bars full service restaurant and bars, a pool and beautiful manicured areas. The beach is small, lots of coral and sand, unfortunately full of sargassum although this was not the fault of the hotel. It was well appointed with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The staff were courteous, and accommodating. Overall the stay was great and very relaxing. I was upset with two things. The standard rooms, especially the bathrooms are not up to a 5 star standard. Our first room was damp and the furniture looked rough. The bathroom tiles were broken, the tv was small, a 37 inch from 2015 and the shower did not work well. I requested a room change and the room was much better although they downgraded our pool view room to a garden view. The in room amenities are excellent with a de humidifier and steamer to remove wrinkles from packed clothes. My pet peeve was the resorts suggestion to get a better more updated room i would have to upgrade to premium whivj was 800 more. i would not have minded paying but l wanted that to be my choice and then could have widened my choices at rhe start to include the hyatt, riu or other 5 star hotel. By trying to force me to pay another 800 usd during check undermined the whole experience. "

"I’ve stayed at quite a few all inclusive resorts across various destinations in Mexico, this one was by far the best experience I’ve had Food was amazing our room was in good condition for a 10 year old property but the 2 main highlights for me were the location and the extremely helpful staff, regardless of room category or status level it seemed like all guests were treated the same. It’s a smaller resort so everything feels a little more personal and upscale, no reservations for dinner no towel cards for the pool just take as many as you need, room service arrives in 20-30 minutes and house keeping is very consistent. Special shoutout to Mel and Erik, best entertainers I’ve encountered at a resort.. Chepo and Miguel at the pool deck for keeping our drinks full all day and Santos at the Italian restaurant! Will be staying here again. "

"Not a big deal. The food is ok. The drinks are terrible. The room service is good. I have definetly had better and worst times in other resorts."

"We stayed on the family side of the resort. The common areas of the hotel, rooms, and pool were all great. All was very clean, and family-friendly. The paths to the beach were easily accessible, and a very peaceful surrounding. Our only complaint was that the food wasnt as good as what we expected. It wasn't horrible, but just not as good as what we would have expected from a resort like this. Also, we added on the Family Concierge package. Some of the perks were nice to have & we did utilize some of them. However, im not sure if we would add it again if we revisited the resort."
