"We recently stayed at Radisson Blu Fiji as a family of four. Overall we had a nice stay, but there were a few areas that were disappointing compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at in Fiji.
On arrival the experience felt a little underwhelming. We noticed other guests being offered welcome drinks and cold towels, but we were not, which didn’t make for the warm welcome we expected.
The pool facilities are fantastic and definitely a highlight of the resort. The activities team were wonderful and really took the time to engage with the kids, and the water sports crew were great fun.
Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming, especially after previously staying at the InterContinental Fiji where the dining was far superior.
We also experienced confusion around the 20% discount we were told about at check-in for food, beverages and spa treatments. It wasn’t clearly explained that this only applied to certain items, and when we queried our bill we received different information from different staff members. Based on our calculations we should have received around $100 FJD back but were only refunded $50 FJD.
Another disappointment was returning to our room at 8:30pm one evening to find it hadn’t been serviced. We were offered for someone to come at that time but there wasn’t really an apology.
While the resort has great facilities and excellent activity staff, clearer communication and more consistent service would have made the stay much better."
