"We recently spent 3 nights at Silky Oaks Lodge in early February 2024. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! The resort itself was gorgeous! We loved our bungalow and the view of the Mossman River. The staff was over the top friendly and accommodating. We arranged some day trips through the front desk, ABC Snorkeling to the Great Barrier Reef and Walk About Cultural Tours to explore the beach and the Mossman River Gorge. Both experiences were life altering. I wish we had made time to go to the spa - we received a personal tour before we left. We'll definitely do that next time. We made wonderful friends with the staff and cannot wait to return. Thank you for taking such great care of us!"

"Great place to stay"

"Under the circumstances with our stay being post cyclone Jasper, we were very pleased with accommodation being a safe, secure, well maintained in a beautiful location in Daintree. Our host, Greg, was knowledgeable, accommodating and served us substantial meals twice a day. We enjoyed listening to his various, adventurous life experiences.He took us for a walk on the property, where he is growing various types of tropical fruit which we were able to pick and eat. There is fresh water pool that was available to cool off and protect us from the elements with a covered roof and netting to keep out any unwanted critters. Everything on this property has been build incredibly solid! When we were in a pinch to get to the Daintree river, as we did not have a vehicle, he offered us a ride there. It is definitely best to have be independent with a vehicle at this location. Thank you for an excellent stay. It was one of our highlights visiting this area in Australia. "

"The hotel has a good central location and it has an underground carpark. There is a small kitchen in the room and communal laundry. The couple running the hotel were very nice and gave good communication. I found the hotel good calue for money."

"Great room. Depending on what room you have it could get a little noisy if you have noisy neighbors since some have 3~4 rooms sharing walls. The Tide Resturants is amazing one of the best food we have had. We got the special, crispy salmon and chefs bowl with barramundi. So good so we had it again the next night. Non of the other Resturants open for dinner looked that great. "
