"Very clean & will stay in this hotel again"

"The only redeeming quality of this hotel is the location. For the price it is NOT worth it. The bed is a rock that doesn't even have a fitted sheet on it and did not come with adequate blankets. The AC works well, but with the thin blankets it was almost unbearable. And oh man, the bathroom! Severely outdated. Shower didn't drain and took 5+ minutes for the hot water to kick in, and when it finally got hot it was accompanied with a high pitch squeel coming from the shower head. The towel rack is in the shower?? And the overhead fan vent is almost as loud as the shower head. The hallways, stairs, etc are covered with peeling white paint, which is a huge shame because you can tell the wood work was beautiful before they painted everything. Oh and the no parking requires you to spend $250 (4 nights) to park around back in a public lot. Overall, the room appeared clean so that's a plus but won't be returning unless the price comes way down. I'd rather stay in a much cheaper hotel out by the airport and ride the train into town."

Fairmont Chicago at Millennium Park

"We were so excited to book the Fairmont as we had stayed and got married at the Seattle location and received phenomenal customer service. When we arrived at checkin, we had requested the highest floor available. It was a corner room which was very narrow, especially the restroom! What’s worse was that it was right by the elevator and the noise was loud! Wish we were told of this before requesting the highest floor as we asked for a room change the following morning. After explaining the situation with the room being close to the elevator, the staff immediately said there’s nothing available without even looking at the computer. After pushing a little bit, she looked at her computer and found a couple room options, and with manager approval we got to change our room. It was literally night and day. This room was way more spacious, not a corner room, and away from elevator noise. I highly recommend corner rooms and signature rooms to not be in the same category. Also, this hotel needs a major facelift to match its other locations. Lastly, some staff need to be trained better in hospitality. Some were not friendly empathetic, while some were incredibly friendly."

"Everything with this hotel stay went smoothly, from the valet parking, easy check-in, staff bringing luggage to our room to the most comfortable bed, spacious room and bathroom, and so convenient to everything in downtown Chicago. Loved our visit and would definitely stay again!"

"Checking in and out is very smooth. Building is definitely older and although it has been renovated the age shows. The cleanliness of the room was fine, not terrible but not great. Location is great; in a quieter part of the city right near the hustle and bustle. It is right near public transport options."
