"Staff was so nice and welcoming. There is coffee and tea available 24/7 in lobby. Breakfast is grab and go, which is nice. Rooms on the smaller side, and they not very sound proof. We could hear everyone all the time, and our room was next to the door to the ice machine. The shower door was off the track and the shower itself was dirty, which we didn’t initially notice since we were out all day. The views are amazing, and it was a close drive to Sleepy Hollow and Bear Mountain."

"The stay was great! Amazing restaurant and grounds. So spectacular! The only problem and it was a big one. Checkout is 11am. At 9 35 am I was woken up by house keeping knocking on the door whilemy wife was in the shower. I then put the do not disturb sign on the door and went to the car. While I was gone she came back and just walked in at 10 40 with my wife in just her bra and panties!! That was unacceptable! Loved our stay but that definitely left a bad taste in our mouths."

"Stayed at the Overlook Lodge in Bear Mountain and it was a really nice experience. The lodge has a cozy, rustic feel with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and it’s very peaceful compared to the busier parts of Bear Mountain. It feels like a getaway spot where you can actually relax."

"The people at check-in were nice! The hot tub was broken, there was dog poop all over the dog area the trash was overflowing and there was cigarette butts and debris around the property."

"The property was really nice with great amenities. Parking was easy, everything was clean. Love the availability of tea and coffee throughout the day. It was one of my favorite stays actually. Love that it was pet friendly and the mindfulness of placing dogs in distant rooms from each other. "
