Very convenient to main highway. Free garage parking. Ana at the front desk was very nice and helped with several questions I had. There was another gentleman who helped get the TV going for me. My room was clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely… modern. I would def stay again.

Rooms were great and clean. Couple of restaurants close were great. Partially under construction downstairs. No shopping close but that was ok. Drive was easy to hiking areas.

We were told that this used to be the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Hilton took over and is in the midst of renovating. Parking , which is conveniently attached & accessible to/from the hotel, could use some brightening up. The public areas of the hotel still feel dated but renovation is ongoing. Upon check in, the reception agent - who was very pleasant and welcoming - could not find our reservation in their system. I showed him my Expedia reservation and after a bit of searching, he found it in a different system. He still had to key in all of my information in his system but all the while, assured me that we will have a room. That was a relief. The hallway to our room has been renovated but somehow still felt dated. The room is renovated and feels fresh, especially the bathroom. The bathroom toiletries by Crabtree & Evelyn are wonderful! I will to return when the renovation is completed and see how it all comes together.

It would have been helpful to have it explained at check-in that a $50 deposit would be added to the charge. Since this wasn't explained, I was surprised to find I had been charged $50 more than I expected.
