Great hosts. Beautiful property. Lots of restaurants in the area.
Easy to commute to Omega, 10 min up the road. Bed was comfortable w soft sheets which is up steep stairs. Private bath and toilet down the stairs. Rustic setting. Host Lynn, friendly and pleasant.
Quite home in the middle of Hudson valley perfect for a night stay for one person
Room was comfortable and clean with your own bathroom just outside of your room
I did miss no tv but the Wi-Fi was sufficient
If I was in the area again I’d have no problem spending the evening
I had to travel to settle my cousin's estate and stayed here, only 20 minutes from my cousin's house.
Lynn was a wonderful hostess, very friendly and amicable. Peaceful surroundings in Hudson County. Area restful, landscape and historical farmhouse. Thank you for enhancing my peace in an otherwise emotion situation. Many blessings,
The room was clean and tidy and the owners were friendly. However, there were a few issues that detracted from the overall stay. First, the room smelled like cats which could be because there were three cat carriers in the closet. Second, the electrical outlets seemed improperly installed and did not easily work with the various chargers we needed to charge. Third, the photo used to identify the site was taken in a part of the house that we as guests did not even have access to so it seemed somewhat misleading. And finally, we were looking for a property in or near Poughkeepsie and this place was a solid 20 minutes away.
My wife and I stayed overnight and the area was really quiet and a nice to get away to. The bed and room were really comfortable. The hosts who share the house were very welcoming and were great.
one set of 3 single male guests there for a wedding returned drunk, loud and aggressive from the party and woke everyone up. They threatened me when I asked them to be quiet. All other things were lovely
The home was beautiful, inviting and clean. The bed was super comfy! The hosts were very friendly. Although, the description on VRBO should not refer to it as private. It is not a private rental nor is it a B&B. We ended up having a great stay, but it should be noted that this is not private.
Charming 1800's house with decor appropriate to the time period in which the home was built. Beautiful property with tiny waterfall/stream near entrance. Cozy loft-type bedroom upstairs with very comfortable bed. Small but adequate bathroom at the base of the steps. Creative, antique decorating touches add to the overall charm. Lovely rural area with working farms and lots of scenery. Close to Omega Institute and about 20 minutes from Rhinebeck. Good coffee and friendly owners. Great stay! Hope to return.
Attending a wedding in Rhinebeck, we didn't want to drive home after reception so found this home near the location of the event. The description of the place was 100% accurate. It was interesting locating the home. The hosts met us on arrival, after we returned from the wedding and greeted farewell this A.M. The place is a really old farm-house, beautifully restored and furnished with antiques. As stated, the stairs to the room are quite steep but reminded me of the ones where I lived before and during my teen years. We would recommend this to anybody looking for gracious hosts, a serene setting.
the property is a house built in 1860 so its has a lot of history and the lady of the house is a very sweet and kind soul. Her husband is a gem of a person always ready to help and we were treated like family. the only thing i would suggest is that though there is no cooking allowed there needs to be separate space in the fridge for renters to keep their food. No complaints about anything else . I would go back an d visit the couple if i have a chance.
Charming old Farmhouse but their profile should state that proprietor
live on the property and its very intimate. Beautiful place preferred more privacy. P.S. BBQ should have a table and seating outside.
Although, their dinning room was romantic and charming. Beautiful remote area with farms and barns and horses 20 minutes from Rhinebeck.
The property is remote, very rural, nice and quiet. Hosts were extremely friendly , welcoming..
House was very well appointed, could not have been better. Many excellent restaurants a short drive away. We really enjoyed ourselves, highly recommend
This is a warm and inviting country house. It is tastefully decorated with antiques. The queen sized bed was comfortable. The owners were congenial and flexible with our schedule. Highly recommended.
Quiet area. Bed clean and comfortable. Had private bathroom off kitchen area at the bottom of steep staircase. Owners pleasant. There were other guests, but only saw cars.
