"Great location for walking distance to the airport. We were able to check in early and the kids could have a swim. We left the hotel at 2.30am for an early morning flight but felt safe and only took 10 mins to walk to the airport."

"Beautiful property with very well appointed rooms. Was a great place to stop after a long flight for a luxurious shower and sleep. Love how there is a bath as well. Room has everything you could think of. I didn't want to leave!"

"We had a wonderful stay. Check-in was a breeze, with Liam being so friendly and helpful, not to mention the fact that we had been upgraded! The room was gorgeous and we made good use of the bathtub. The only blemish on our stay was the fact that the Chromecast didn’t work, however that wasn’t enough to ruin the trip (by a long way). Will return!"

"The StandardX combines the old school Fitzroy environment with a contemporary take on what it is to be an accommodation. It sits in the heart of Fitzroy, yet feels cozy and quiet like a suburban home allowing me to work, rest and relax any time of day. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and attentiveness of the staff. Not to mention the rooftop view - absolutely stunning. The StandardX really seemed to have thought of it all while keeping it affordable and modern."

"For the rate, this was a very good setup. Room size, amenities, cleanliness, bathroom were all good. Rooms were quiet (great for jet lagged patrons). Daily brunch was a good bargain - upscale/earthy continental plus pick a main and side from hot menu). Location to markets, shopping, and Chinatown without being IN them, was super. Staff were kind and helpful. Also great about holding luggage after checkout when we had a 2 hour layover between venues. Minor drawback - no pool or gym."

"All staff from reception to housekeeping were amazing! Friendly and happy. Room was spacious and comfortable for a week long stay. Ideally located only a short walk for 15 min tram ride to the city, with easy access to Chapel St and St Kilda Beach. "

"All good but the shower over the bath needs an anti slip mat in the tub. It's very slippery when soaped up. Need more walk in showers. Stepping in over bath is dangerous "
